Got the tires on the car last night; so much smoother. I love new tires. Not happy about having to re-use the torque-stars again, but it is what it is......

I don't understand you guys thinking that bolt or bracket are difficult.
Get better tools if the job feels like work. Ask Scotty.. he watched his trans get gone. It is a piece of cake with the right tools, and yes..on the ground..on my back.
Went ahead and bought the front sway bar links and sway bar bushings. I figure since everything else up front is going to be new I may as well go ahead and replace them.
Also got the rear struts changed. Did part of it while it was raining. Got soaked, but I was at the point of no return when the rain started and didn't want to leave it half done. The main issue I ran into was the rear sway bar links. I didn't even think about getting those and they were a nightmare to get loose. Luckily I got the end that attaches to the sway bar itself off so I just left the other end attached to the struts. I'll just leave it as is and go get the links tomorrow. I figure I have driven other cars that don't even have a rear sway bar from the factory, so driving without one hooked up for a day won't kill me.
Hoping tomorrow I can get the rack and tie rod ends, as well as the control arms changed.
Speaking of that, what size is the star bolt on the control arm? I remember seeing it posted before but am unable to find it right now.
Watched the clear coat disappear some more from my front and rear bumper today.. good news is I think I have the tune dialed in pretty well. Ltfts look much better.
Brought my old tires and pregens home from work (a truck sure would have been nice). Here is the crack in the one wheel...
Now that I've seen it, I might just take it to a wheel repair shop and see how much to fix it.
Decided it was my upper mounts messin with my head making me think the GTP was dropping first at stop signs. It was pretty much my mood and how I was driving (like an ass) the day that I thought I had trans trouble awhile back. Tried out my A/C and sunroof today, all good. Not gonna be able to stand the sucky tunes syndrome much longer, need speakers to start. Whatever I did inside the passenger door yesterday fixed the not-locking issue I've had since the wreck. I found nothing out of place, just cycled it a few times by hand and now it works. Another bonus in the door- that out of place window rubber I found was also causing the extra wind noise by not letting the glass go up all the way firmly into the seal.
Masked up a '69 Nova today... man it felt good to be able to do car stuff again. No big pain issues with the airbag arm, I am amazed. Therapy is valid science after all!
That's awesome IDJ. I hope it stays that way, just remember it'll probably hurt a bit tomorrow since you used it for the first time. I need to get my arm operated on, but I'll be out of work for a minimum of 3 months, which I can't do at this point.
Thanx and FWIW, this Colle's fracture is supposed to be a 12 week heal but the pain quit at nine. So that might be an outside number but yeah, anything in months is longer than I can afford to miss work. I felt it a little today because the barometer was on the move but really soreness was minimal. I got some spray pain stuff called BioFreeze that works good if it starts to get sore, and plenty leftover meds if I overdo it. Y'know the hug from the therapist at the end just about made the whole deal worthwhile she was purty sharp
Ordered rear kyb drop in struts, LIM gasket, UIM gasket, "solid" motor and trans mounts for 355.
