Dropped my new tires and pregens off at the tire shop this morning to be M&B'd.
Tire shop just called. Turns out one of the wheels has a crack in it. FAWK!
Guess I will have to get them my old torque-stars until I can figure things out.
Lmao you had them for a few hrs if that.. Ain't no sentimental value yet.

How come folks don't just box the existing ones while on the car? Just curious, do the bushings suck that bad?
Like when a guy wanted to add a sway bar to his Chevelle. Reinforcing the existing piece by adding a plate to it. These are rear trailing arms you're talking about, right? The stock ones are stamped bars with rubber bushings wheras GMPPS would be tubular with polys? I just wonder why not weld up a reinforcement on the existing arms. Removal wouldn't even be necessary.
GMPP were just tubular.. Still used rubber bushings.
Good idea, but that's probably beyond most guys skills unless they had a welder but if you had to pay someone better off just buying the GMPP ones.

Yup, scored my GMPP trailing arms for 30bucs. Well worth it too.
I was thinking of maybe some 1/2" conduit and a dozen welds or so. Didn't know the GMPPs had rubber too. To me thats one place where a man could show that with his car, its about the enhanced performance rather than the mod list. The OE arms are truly ridiculous but if they had just a small pipe attached, nothing heavy... Cut your pipes then go flip the muffler guy a $20 to tack em up if he will. Just a po' boy idea.
Well, the rubber bushings in the GMPP trails are little bit stiffer than the stockers. So there is a slight difference, also the solid bar makes the rear have less roll from my opinion.
did a few runs out crusing around by myself then found a G8 to toy with in town at a few lights stopped and bullsh1ted then asked him if he wanted to go for a run on the interstate 1st run got him 2nd 3 honk run from about 60mph when I got to about 112-115ish flex plate let go and with my foot to the floor I started slowing down.
Pulled over to the side of the road shut car off tried to start it again starter just spins the flex god damn it I just did a flex plate and tq convertor in like November while I was in DC.
Losing a race because sh1t broke it worse than just getting out run! Sonuvab1tch I need a billet flex!!!
(edit just when I was about to throw the new struts and eibachs on and the pregens with drag radials!) This car hates me.
Funny thing is IIRC some of the GMPP bars were tubular while others were squared tubed around instead.. Either way a improvement over the stock u shaped ones
