What did I do to my car today... Well, not today, but:
Friday - Replaced blower motor resistor I bought same day as I bought the car, but got sidetracked by more important repairs.
Saturday - Replaced faulty fuel level sensor in tank.
Sunday - Traded for my daughter's Audi A4 so I can fix her vacuum leaks, speakers, broken trim, disassemble/repaint peeling wheel caps, a bit of everything. Same day replaced front calipers on her mother's minivan.
Since then busy on her car.
Only things left to fix on mine (that I know of) are, 4th gear and HUD.
oil pan and front timing cover and rear cover all came off. all mating surfaces are cleaned up ready to go.
need to install the new rear crank seal, then put it back together tomorrow.
i humped the short block off the stand solo today too. putting it back should be fun lol off was not to bad. on may be a challenge solo.
Pulled the supercharger and intake off the 2006 GT and cleaning things up so it will be ready for the 2001 GTP!!!
Scotty don't step on yer rhoid doing that, get help! bare block maybe.
Typical day for the GTP today, except nobody hit it. I try, try, try to just let it ride. Did nothing to my car today and not much on any other!
you need to remember, im not normal sized. im 6"6" and 250 lb's. thats just a little grunt work.
i had the two corner pistons set so i could grab it upside down. aka instant handles
Aw I remember and still said it. But come to think of it a V6 does move around easier than what I'm used to. Just yeah be sure the grip is there and theres nothing to trip over. I have the same dilemma, need to hang a complete dressed L67 on my home engine stand. Prolly bring it in an S-10 which ain't far from the right height. maybe I'll jack up the S-10 to make up the diff lol
I can handle the bare 400 block but I don't wanna. Its on the stand now. I think its all the BS that comes with help that makes me go without.
After talking with John Rucker at Intense he thinks it's the injectors not opening up quickly enough. I'm on 42# injectors with a gen v, 3.0 pulley, fsic, and N* TB.
If the pump wasn't keeping up, it would eventually lean out as the residual pressure in the rail diminishes. Thing is, once I've given it a bootful, I can leave it there all day... so it's not the pump?
I'm going to get 60#'s this week and see if that fixes it... In either case I'm going corn and will eventually get a walbro, whenever the venturi pumps are back in stock.
