^^^For that part I've used both A/C Delco & Standard Ignition. They always go bad. I will follow the wiring & check for damage.

Working on getting my brothers 01 GPGT back on the road again after almost 3 years sitting in my driveway (long story). Spent a few hours in the heat yesterday to get the brakes bled out as best I could since the RR is airlocked due to ABS needing to be bled. Shop will handle that next week. Pedal feels good and still stops fine just no action from that side.
Spent another few hours today vacumming it all out and gave it a wash finally. I had to change water 3 times, lol. Will say the black paint came back pretty well. Still needs a good solid compound/polish/wax but that can be later at this point. Aired up the tires, checked all the fluids and took it for a quick run and it drives just fine. No flat spots in the tires since I did ocassionally drive it over those years. The only issue I found is that the sunroof won't pop open on it's own so I gave it a nudge and it opened and slowly slid back. Removed all the old grease from the tracks and re-lubed it. Moves better but still won't open on it's own. Could just be crap on the seals so I'll check it later as I was doing it in the dark in 93* weather so I just gave up for now. It closes tightly and doesn't leak so I'll deal with it later. Just trying to bring this old man back to life finally.

I went through that with my GT and knew something to watch out for, from fixing wrecks a bunch. Never tried other than a GM sensor but they tended to "stick" in the 30s (°F). I was buying them from a nearby dealer parts counter. Last time, the guy dropped the sensor, picked it up and kept heading toward the counter. I turned him around to grab a different one and it must have been in there ten years now. Working. After the airbag wreck in the GTP of course that one went bad. The key phrase is rough handling. Like with tools at HF, you have to guess which one in the pile is a good one. Not a part I would have shipped. Even buying from a dealer, you may have to go through 3 or 4 to find the "ringer".

Speaking of ambient temp sensors, my GTP one showed 113° yesterday after work. Thats a record. After some driving of course the reading is more accurate but it was an honest 106.
At work, the 59 Catalina job went home. The 30 Model A is out getting upholstery and I wrapped up the 55 Nomad Camino metal work yesterday. Now I "get to" do the filler work on it. At 56 years old, thats bad news. As for my rides... just watching them go downhill and trying not to ask too much of them.

Well, the 01 GT is back on the road again and legal. It came back to me with a bad vibration last weekend. Found the pass. side axle had a ton of play on the inner joint. Drivers was getting there so I just threw 2 new axles in it and bam. Smooth sailing again. Hopefully this will get him through the winter w/o any more crap breaking. With fixing everyone elses sh*t I just realized I never replaced my clogged up heater core until today when I asked for heat, lol... Has some but not the Burninator I'm used to. 1st weekend in Nov. is my next chance to be freed up.

Just took my 2005 Turbo GP to the dyno/tune shop. Finally safe to drive it around but will need to go back after replacing a defective MAF and adding a 2 bar map sensor.

Headed out yesterday to have an early Christmas at my brothers house and had to stop at the ATM. Got money and went to roll the window up. No click from the switch. Its like the contact in it just disappeared. Said some words and headed back to the house to change cars. Aparently I made him mad and he also decided to throw an active misfire CEL on the way back to the house.
Today I threw in my spare master switch (without breaking the little tab at the top of the switch housing- in the cold!!) and window is good. Slow as hell, but good. Scanned and misfire is on #2. Once I got the hood open (thank you sticky hood cable) I threw on my last spare coil I had laying around and took it for a drive. So far so good and I really pushed it hard to see if it would miss again.
Next up will be an oil change since I'm now 1k over. Thats gonna wait until its above 40* as I have no desire to change it when it's 4* in my garage. I'll just top it off for now.
Merry Christmas to everyone and keep the shiny side up this winter!

Washed and vacuumed it out today. Polished out the headlight housings. Looking much better now. Need to get a polish/wax on it again soon as it's looking a bit dull on the roof again.
Also changed the oil finally. Good to go until the next change at 500K.

Well, after 17 years under my ownership it finally happend. Time for a tune up, oil change, trans fluid change and likely struts all around again. Also gotta figure out which hub is setting the stupid ABS light again... I actually shot a quick vid of it rolling over since I'll likely never see it again, but here is a still shot.
Thank you Bluie for the many miles and may we continue to enjoy many more! In for 600K???

Been living up to my username since last visit.
Trans shop left GTP subframe loose and a bolt eventually fell out so I noticed. Junkyard. It would dart in random direction upon braking.
Hit and run on the parked GT last weekend. I heard it but didn't look fast enough. Left marks on rear bumper and qtr but stuffed left rear wheel forward, jamming it against the body. Got radius rod and trailing arm from junkyard but the rod requires tank drop for top bolt so straightened best I could in a hurry using jack and stand, and swapped the trailing arm. In the street. It appears operable now and drove it but gotta adjust the tie rod to attempt to compensate. Was out of light, time, and energy and didn't have big enough wrenches. I'll have to try to continue the fix when conditions allow but the wheel still sits funky.
307K on the GTP now, 196 on the GT and the Model J just disregards distance and time. Speaking of GT, current job is a 69 Mustang GT and holds the record for most shovelfulls of rat manure harvested, ever. Been working on a 68 Chevy truck cab recently and recently completed a 56 which is being buffed now before assembly. Its a living but I'll never have anything but junk.

damn thats a load of sh-it on all counts.... people suck and this is why we cant have nice things, as they say. them lat arms. you just need to lower the rear sub frame some to get them bolts out. air gun or electric impact's help, them sub frame and lat bar bolts are in there good.

Threw a new pass. side hub and new front brake pads on my brothers 01 GT tonight. Now it's nice and quiet again and stops too, lol. Glad he was with me when we got the pads because I forgot that I installed the 06 impala front brakes on it and I told the counter guy I needed the stock 01 GT pads originally.

Had car in for trans pan gasket,
Lift was not properly positioned under car
cracking both lower rocker panel moldings,
Car is being repaired at a body shop, they cracked during removal too.
These lower rocker panel moldings are no longer available from G.M.
need to be glassed to be repaired.
This car is near mint, now its ****ed
