My GTP rolled past 287K last week but I bought it with 196K. Shop was closed due to ice one day, and is again today with tomorrow up in the air. My newish tires did good too. We might have close to a foot of snow and wind chills are minus teens today. No RWD action for me!
Oops, forgot what I had forgotten... didn't seem very toasty in the GTP when temps dropped. Reached across dash for something and noticed the arctic blast from passenger side vents. Remembered that I ditched the actuator over there so I let the glovebox door down and grabbed the rusty pliers kept for that purpose and stopped the ice cold air. Still not enough toe heat but at least the idiotic stock crapola ain't fighting itself for now.
Got my Grand Prix yesterday (1999, GTP, 2door) ... Did oil change today, sounds great.
Also put on 2nd phone mount and cleaned a little.
Finally got warm enough to wash the GP today. Nice to see it blue again instead of battleship gray. Might get the interior vac'd out and cleaned up tomorrow too if the rain holds off long enough. Even if I don't at least it doesn't look like a sh*tbox anymore. I hate winter...
Noticed the left muffler tip hanging a bit lower than normal. Need to get the backend in the air and see why. Would be a good time to look for the reason why my exhaust has become a bit more pronounced lately. Have a feeling one (or both) stock mufflers may finally need to be replaced after 21 years.
I just did spark plugs and spark plug wires for cylinders 1, 3, 5, and 4. Couldn't get 2 and 6 out easily, and it started to snow. I'll do them soon. Hopefully this fixes my misfire on cylinder 4.

My meziere electric water pump was acting up. Wouldn't turn on or off at appropriate times causing overheating. Fixed the on and off issue, connections/wiring were bad. Also noticed it was leaking. I used Bar's Leaks Liquid Aluminum Radiator Stop Leak to seal it up. So far so good for now. Might go back to mechanical water pump though.

The GXP just died on me today. I just replaced the battery too. I do check the voltage guage periodically and I was at nearly 15 when I hoped I'm the car. Guess I'll go test the Alternator and battery cuz one of them is bad, maybe.
Scored some good condition used HVAC knobs off Ebay. Nice to have all 3 back in place since 2 have been broken for a few months. Going to scour the junkyards this year for spares since they seem to be going up in price. OEM has been disco'd for a while and NOS ones are stupid expensive.
Finally looked underneath the rear to find out why my left muffler is lower than the right. Turns out 1 the inside hanger on both mufflers has rusted in 2 so it's only hanging on by 1 on each side, and they aren't looking much better. Guess I'll be adding new mufflers/tips to the list this year. Not a bad run for 21 yr old muffs.
Also noticed that the inner rear strut mount areas are showing holes now. The wheelwell metal is disappearing as is the usual for these cars. Pretty sure I can still save it but have to act on it soon before a strut ends up in the trunklid.
Battery and alternator tested good, several times. Also cleaned my gross positive terminal. Best guess is there's a power draw somewhere or maybe, just maybe, there's a loose connection to the starter?
Might be the end of the 07 GT.
Think the forward band snapped.
Goes in 1 or 2 but not in D.
Might sell it as repairable if I don’t want to mess with it.
