Tinkered on the fuel door; added magnetic latch, relocated fuel cap teather, and installed a hook to hold fuel cap when re-fueling.....

Wiper blades on the 69 GP and re-learnng how to drive it with new tires all around. Right now its the fastest its ever been. I'd give Brandon and Scotty and turbo punk at work some competition and at 2-1/4 tons, thats a mouthful! She goes yank chirp chirp done and I grin great big.

On the 59 at work, I'm close to that point where you weld up everything you made for the last few months.

Alright Fonzie Hahaha. That'd be kinda tough, having anything more than a time slip shootout. I'd rather blow rivalry smoke and keep it a mystery but she might break 14 flat. Which counts as competition unless you're a robot. Just a callout for bench racing because I ain't messed with you guys in awhile.

I hear ya. Nothing better than lining up next to someone. Sounds like our times would be pretty close though. I think it would be a fun race to watch.

Well crap, I can't post pics here. That sux. Yep it would be fun drag racing.

I been playing with photo edits, you seen some on the blog... how would a 97-03 GP coupe look with a short round S10 bed box spliced in above the wheel openings? I have been trying to find the right pair of pics to use. Crazy rainy day wonderings.

New steering rack went in yesterday, and it wasn't until I pulled the old one out and laid it next to the new one that I realized they have completely different angles for the steering shaft and line ports.

Little bit of massaging and a mental note to get new lines, on top of fighting the steering shaft for a solid hour, and haphazardly eye-balling the alignment.... after the test drive I'm mildly impressed with the feel.

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, you can swap a magnasteer rack into a car that did not previously have magnasteer, as long as the harness is there, and it'll work. Literally just plugged it in and drove, and I could feel it. It's nice.

Replaced another flickering dash cluster LED, and adjusted the wiper arms.

Does anybody have a trick to getting the wiper arms off? I've been using a door panel tool, pain in the ass. I just bought the proper wiper arm removal tool, doesn't work cuz you can't get it under the arm. I cracked the lower part of the windshield (no big deal as it needs to be replaced), but I hate having to touch the wiper arms. They still need to be tweaked, but I don't want to go near them.

I use a smaller hammer to tap on the sides as I'm pulling/prying, usually they let go pretty quickly.

I got mine off with a bit of penetrating oil and two small pry bars wiggling left, right. They each came off after 15 minutes of struggling.

Thanks guys. I'm going to buy a small 2 jaw puller and see if that works. Saw a video where buddy pressed on the arm a few times, then it popped off. Must be nice. LOL

A 2 jaw puller will prolly work too. Might even be better actually. In those photos, you can see that I am holding one of the jaws in place using pliers. That jaw kept slipping off. For the passenger side, I used a combination of puller, and the claw end of a regular hammer. I was worried the hammer trick would bust the windshield, but no damage was done. And of course, I sprayed everything down with penetrating oil a couple days before going at it.

Ya, with such a tight space, I think 2-jaw is enough.

I was prying the right arm off and cracked the glass (small horseshoe shaped). Didn't care as it needs replacing, but yesterday the cracks took over and went all the way to the top of the glass. The car is at the glass shop as we speak. LOL

I still have some work to do to the front end before I can call the rack swap a success... I'm going to need new P/S lines, the old ones didn't really fit and I had to add a few extra bends (and maybe a few small accidental creases) to get them to thread in to the rack, and the thread length on the new inner tie rods seems to be quite a bit longer than the old ones... I thought that by counting the threads I would be able to get it close, but there's quite a bit of toe-out that I need to crawl under and fix.

I'd love to have time to do that, but instead I'm working constantly. And I spend what little free time I have on here or Youtube. lol

The issue with the windshield wipers is that the spring that forces the wiper against the window also forces the wiper arm against the nub it connects to. Its been awhile since I took mine off, but I just pulled the wiper up from the window and shoved something into the hinge on the side or underside to keep it from coming back down. Then the pressure is relieved and you can just lift the arm off the car. Keep the piece you used to hold it up in place so you can just sit the arm back onto the car, bolt it down, and yank out the piece. If you take the piece out of the hinge when its off the car you will have a hell of a time putting it back on the car.

I tried all them tricks, and it was still a biatch to get the arm off. Picked this up today, and it will do the job perfectly, along with pinning the arm up.
