Quinlan, I noticed your sig shows two 97-03s. Several times I have used the wrong key, I have 2 black 99 coupes and yea it happens.
Hey junk.. No using the right key... Really any gm.key works because in the past i took key cylinder out and removed all the pins so that any key will work.
i don't know of any clear intended for use over bare metals.
Quin theres obviously more to that story lol.
If I used like mothers aluminum polish would it add a protective coating? I'm trying think of anything at all
Junk your the one who does the car body stuff for a living. I know there's got to be something out there
I used high temp clear coat over clean aluminum. We'll see how it holds up
Thats probably a good choice, Blue. I was gonna say if theres clear engine paint... but didn't think of wheel paint. When using real (2K) clear, there is an etching wash that can be used first. Clearing over metal is an unusual scenario.
Yeah it is. But our torque stars are clear coated polished aluminum.
Finally dropped my trans off to Andrew for the much needed rebuild!.....last Friday, not today!.....but still happy none the less.
Thanks blue I will definitely try that

Just bought flywheel number 2 for the gtp today. Found out my first flywheel has air bubbles in the casting right were the clutch rides. Won't know if the new ones any better untill it gets turned down.
