Ordered a pillar pod on Friday.
Today I zipped down to the tire shop to get my tires/wheels back. Now to get 'em home and on the car; probably won't be until the weekend.
Happy. Last few days around my work schedule I've been able to do this, driver cv axle, driver outer tie rod, driver strut, passenger strut. Now it's onto the rear..struts, one wheel bearing, trailing arms and mabey sway bar.
Fixing a rim leak diy style, screw it.
Discount tire says they cleaned the rim as much as they can, but still leaks. Hmm I can see flakes of corrosion coming off the sealing surface...
Sold my 14' encloused trailer today so now im having even more thoughts of selling my car so I can buy this Cadillac ATS 2.0T AWD I want! Then id have a nice daily driver and then I can just focus on the caged car as a something to beat on like it owes me money.............
Put the 18s on the vert and got the motor pulled outta the gtp..good day!
Yea when you can actually scan and read them yourself lol
Not so much if your paying someone

i stumbled and stepped in crap. the shop right across the street lets me use his snap on scanner for free, he just says pull up front here, then hands it to me. got to love cool people.
my abs light has come on a few times since i cleared the pages of codes. time to se what it says this time, then ATTACK!
I've had a monster run o bad luck so the noisy one was maybe part of that. Glad your deal went smooth and no 4x4 thats a big deal lol
After quite a spell of not touching cars, I got cleared by the doctor for work and will start back tomorrow. Since its nice out and since my passenger window stopped completely for a moment I figured I'd get in some practice work before the real thing. So-
Found the cause of the slow window-
Jammed the back half of the sunroof cover back into the track, it popped out in the wreck-
And I was gonna swap in an 02 visor because the airbag chewed the 99's-
But man- naw. Just no. It has the sticker on bottom, fts.
Changed my oil, swapped transmission coolers from a hayden 403, to a 404. Touched up some rust spots on the underside. Found some witness marks on the sway bar and sub frame on the passenger side. My dorman bar has been hitting apparently. I'll work on that this weekend hopefully, as well as getting some other stuff done.
RPMS are bouncing all over the damn place. Gotta get this Crank position sensor dealt with. Hopefully she's good to work and back tomorrow...
Well you said you needed a good flex plate so id figured id get my good one out for you! Spun a bearing...xpd e85 build going in next week!..good luck.with yours...2 hours for me..for some stupid reason I put the ***** bolt back in last trans swap and for got I did after we tried forecer to sep. Eng. And trans..duh.
Finally got to the back trans mount on the old man's LeSabre today. What a pain in the ass.
The two bolts holding the trans mount to the cradle were round head torx bolts... about three inches long. Stripped a T-40 and a T-45 was too big. Ended up using a grinding wheel to shave off flat spots on the head so I could get a vice grip on it and yank them off that way... and found that some monkey before me had sealed the threads with blue loctite. No wonder it was such a pain in the ass to remove. Then trying to remove the mount itself was a pain in the ass. First the sway bar had to come out, then the mount studs stuck out too far no matter how high I lifted the motor... out came the grinding wheel again.... problem solved.
His car drives great now so I get my GP back tomorrow... just in time for the meet on Saturday.
Its ganna be a week of working on my car..I work 8 hours a day so have to do the work around my work schedule.
I was doing the front driver strut, noticed the cv boot was torn, so i put a new one of them in, and a tie rod.
Two front struts, driver tie rod, driver cv, and in the rear im doing driver side wheel bearing, rear trailing arms, sway bar linkage, struts. Fun times!! I forgot, i had to put two dogbon caes into the car aswell as the bushing thats in the bracket.
