    Greetings all,
After 205,000 miles on my 02 GTP, the AC is getting a bit warm. Tried to add some Freon and noticed the low side Schrader valve is leaking.
Been looking online and am having a bit of difficulty finding out which size I need for the low and high sides and a removal tool that will work without loosing pressure.
Want to do the wife's 97 GT as well.
Appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

You won't be able to replace the valve w/o emptying the system. Might be called a "service valve" to help you find the right one.

Better yet.. you usually can't remove that schrader. It's a crappy aluminum welded in aluminum over the years. I tried with my 02 this past summer. That's when my mechanic buddy said.. "you do realize the cap is the secondary seal".

Once you get that cap on good.. it should hold. I say this because on mine..it's the high side that's holding.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    Thanks for the replies all.
I was under the impression that the valves were similar to an "inner tube" screw in valve and the connection type was the schrader.
I've seen the service valves online and some videos about doing it but I know there are different sizes for the low and high sides and am really having difficulty trying to find the info.
Any more thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I found the high side at Advance Auto. They actually stocked it. However I couldn't get the old one out.

Most of them are. I had a leak at the drivers side fitting (not sure if that is hi or lo) last time I got a recharge. Luckily my buddy does a lot of A/C work and had spares.

The low side I believe is a typical looking shraeder that can be replaced without losing pressure.
