    see the black plastic around the hood latch. that should come off.

    i was just able to squeeze my head between the driveway and bumper and was able to replace it. it took a while cause it was cold and it was a matter of fitting my hands in between the openings but i got it and it works now!
    '01 GT, OnStar antenna removed, GT emblem on grille, PONTIAC bumper inlay, engine cover and insulator removed, polished stock exhaust tips, 17" Bullitt rims

    yeah mine has apparently been taken off before because its cracked and theres pieces of it missing so i don't wanna mess with it

    Well I'm late to the party... missed all the action. That thing is a grip and yank affair unless you want to try and fit a clip puller in there. Its on one of those little track things that clips into the shield then the connector or sensor slides onto that. Glad to hear it works right now anyway, and you're right about not leaving the thing dangling. Impact ruins them.
    All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

    Yep got everything all back together. Looks like it wasnt even touched. Reads perfect. -1 right now lol. But now my ac will come on when i need it. Not saying it didnt before but it was getting close to the 30s in summer so im glad i got it done now. Thats another fix to check off the list of many lol
