Low mileage gt's are going for closer to $20k. Believe me I would love a g8 gt but then again I would much rather build my own hot rod (pre 1970) with a mild ls backed with a t56. Trouble is I work full time and go to school part time, in other words I don't have the time. So for know until I can finish school and get my career started I can't afford the insurance on a gto or a camaro or a t/a and I can't afford to buy a low mileage GT. Besides when I finish my engineering degree my new car is gonna be a CTS-V anyway
I'm sorry you live so far away from work (or you like your vacations). Fortunately work is only 5 miles away and all 3 of my classes are scheduled on the same two days so I only have to make that 27 mile trip twice a week. My girlfriend has a Saturn Ion with a 5 speed that she drives for work and wherever else we need to go so yeah right know I'm averaging 7-8k miles.
Beats me....I live across the road from my office rarely ever drive for work purposes

What does distance have to do with whether or not a car is a DD? I've had my Prix for over 4 years and i've only put ~30K miles on it.
I know it's been a while but... I ended up buying a GXP. It's an 08 model in ebony white. It's got 75k on the clock but it's in great condition and the price was very reasonable. So far I'm managing to pull 17-18 city and 25-26 highway I've decided I want to keep it relatively stock. Although I just ordered a tune from overkill so I can run 87 octane, a K&N drop in and of course I'll be adding a trans cooler. Looking to average X > 22mpg! Also someone just put some new tires on it 255's all around. I can tell by the sidewall bulge the wider rims are still in the front. Only problem with the car so far is I can't seem to disable traction control, as in I press the button and the light doesn't come on. I also noticed the a minor "rev clunk" from a dead stop the other day. The fluid looks pretty good (I checked it when I bought it) and it shifts smooth. Gonna drop the the pan change the filter and add some fresh fluid and lucas. The car came with no warranty, worse case scenario I buy a tep kit and rebuild it.
Always use Lucas
