Keeping the 99 until the rear strut tower busts through. Depending on how long that takes, I'll probably salvage as many parts as I can from it (roller rockers, valvesprings, blower/pulleys, etc) before buying an 04+ and putting said parts on that car. Eventually do an S1X build (or an S2/S3 if I can find heads for cheap).
Either that or I'll just spring for an E55 AMG, such as this posting: http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/4475445550.html
not sure how long I'll hang onto the car for....most likely will keep it as a DD once I get my hands on my future ride...
E39 M5 FTW....

I have had my 99 Grand Prix for 15 years. Bought it brand new off the dealer lot. It's not going anywhere anytime soon as it is the daily driver.
A few years ago I picked up an 02 Camaro SS. Currently sitting at 14K miles. This one is not going anywhere as well.
If I do pick up another car it would be either a Trailblazer SS, Chevy SS, G8 GXP, CTS-V
I plan on keeping this car for a long time I don't like car payments. Not sure what else I would get.
I keep thinking about one of those orange 2004 GTPs. But who knows. I'll probably drive my y2k until it dies. So..days, weeks, years...I really can't say.
Unless by then I have the means...

I want an s2k a wrx a 3.8 genesis. But if I could have to cars. If I could only have one. I would need to have a truck and I would prefer a 5.3 silverado. Torn in between 2wd and 4wd cause I love sport trucks and lowering them but some I like lifted. So whatever lol
Edit. Most pracitcal car for me right now as a college student would be to find a wrx wagon. I need the wagon space and it would get much better mileage than my gp especially on the highway. And be more fun to drive.
Probably won't sell the GP unless I get a offer a can't refuse after all it's resale value isn't that great so I rather keep it especially for all the time and effort I've putting into it.
I want a gto as my next car but finding a decent one with low mileage and not outrageous in the price is starting to get higher and higher.
G8 also a option if I decide to stick with a 4 door sedan.
Newish Maximas are also nice but I wasn't feeling the weird cvt transmission last time when I drove one.
Or might just stick with the new Impala and call it a day
The 08 is paid off and a daily. It's such a reliable car I'm hard pressed to get rid of it.
I just got rid of:
to get:
Worlds better than the GTO. I took it for a test drive, hit the gas pedal and said "what GTO."
Next car will be for the wife most likely which will be something similar to:

I hate the fact I have a car payments for the next 2yrs so after I finally pay this off I may keep for awhile since I kicked myself for not keeping and top swapping my old gt that was paid off. Then eventually I would like a newer mustang whether its the new 5.0, v6 or the newest 2.3l turbo coming out.
I think its safe to say that I will continue to buy / fix 97-03 Grand Prix coupe DDs every time my current one is destroyed. I have done that twice now and have driven them for the last five years. I love the cars and have enough engines and transmissions to probably drive them the rest of my life. But if the day comes when I have to switch off the W bodies, I'll probably be looking at Challengers first, since they seem to be plentiful. Although the only time I ever sat in one, I didn't like it.
The mighty 69 GP will remain indefinitely, until someone has the right amount of cash or a big block '68 or '70 El Camino. I feel kind of incomplete without an old truck!
I'm keeping the GP, I've got it where I'm really happy with it and I've already got my next car project. The GTP has gone from DD/project to just DD with the MG as the new money pit.
After this I have no idea what I want. There is a list though.
Keeping my GP till I total it or it rusts through, at that point I will look at an 04+ or another clean GP and if that fails then maybe some truck. I like the Colorados but after my mom having one with the 5 cyl I would want one with the 5.3, ext cab preffered.

SpeedGrid... I've considered pretty much all of those cars in the recent months lol. Especially the G8, TL Type-S, Maxima. I would only add the latest generation of the Fusion. I love their stance.

And also, 2006-2008 Grand Prix with under 100k. Cause it's familiar and I like that there's still a following for them. They're also like 2-3k cheaper than their competition. Although, I doubt it would be much of an improvement. Been thinking of asking you guys for a comparison of common issues for the v6 & v8 for that year range.
But I was laid off a couple weeks ago so the 166K GP will be sticking around at least another year. The repairs/upkeep for it over the last 8 months tho is getting old. Just about equivalent to having a payment on something much newer at this point.
my first choice would be a 05-06 GTO, looking for black or impulse blue, really hoping to get one within a year:
next choice would most likely be a 08-09 G8 GT or GXP, pretty much any color:
and the last option would problably be a 03-04 Terminator, either black or sonic blue, (most def sonic blue tho):
all of which i want in manual trans
forever.
you dont get rid of a 2500$ 04, or a 500$ 97 gtp
next car is a turbo 3800 cressida waGN giggity
I'll keep my comp g so long as the body holds together. Next car in my dreams is a ctsv
