Pcm tune, K&N air charge system, new exhaust (zzp makes a great sounding system with zzp res) lower the car helps alot with handling and breaking, if you lower it get shorter dog bone mounts, do your maintenance (spark plugs oil changes etc) run 91 octane with the pcm, all of that combined should get you an extra 20+ HP easy without getting into a whole lot of cash.

sounds nicer. even in high rpms theres minimul raspyness. and when on the freeway just crusing its quite and deep. but yes headers will get you more power, mostly the front header because its stock smaller then the rear so you have different back preasure amounts from the front cylenders to the back witch isnt the best idea.

Read about this product from zzp http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/...Power-Log.aspx

    Don't forget the royal purple...

Read the thread that ace linked... Taking advice from sevenhellz you'll be wasting your money..

Stock Catback is good until around the 300-350hp range that's when it starts becoming restricted. Want a different tone just have your choice of mufflers welded on.

Headers or a 3" downpipe should be the only real exhaust mod you'll need.

K&N intake... Complete waste of money.. Make your own and yield the same results..

Shorter dog bones on a lowered car.... No no and no.. Do it the correct way and get Vinnie Spacers

Obviously make sure maintenance is up to date..

That being said a pretty cheap setup would be headers or downpipe, make your own intake, a tune and should be pretty decent..
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal

Sound doesn't provide performance. And if the different amounts of back pressure are soooooo bad then how come every member that just does headers doesn't have an issue. These cars have been around for a long time I'm pretty sure it's a proven science. That and I would never spend the money on a catback when headers is the really only exhaust mod you need

Hey man. . . headers or plog n dp lol I always support my decision of plog n dp lol (even if I wish I went headers from the start)

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with PLOG and dp just if he wants most bang for your buck and most hp he should go headers.

Only reason I went with the plog/downpipe combo is black friday sale I got my plog for like 70 bucks. Plus I am far to lazy to install headers

Of course not. I just seem to overlook other things when ignorance is present

    http://shop.zzperformance.com/store/...ke-Insert.aspx - - - - Thank Joe for that one

This would probably net your largest gains along with headers or plog/dp combo whatever your wallet allows the possibilities are endless

I say eff all that noise and put a turbo kit on it. By the time you get all that time and money tied up in it just doing headers and HV3 or whatever else, you're half way to a turbo...and you know you want one anyway.

I can relate to that because that's the route I plan on going just in case I wanna do a turbo build lol

look at my signature, thats all you can do for a n/a, beside a cam OR rockers cant do both.(ER rockers from ZZP compliment the hv3 nicely)
oh and a bigger throttle body which wont do much except gain throttle response. w.e mods you choose do the tune last.
I dont have a gtp catback exhaust but this is what you can kinda expect for the sound with headers.( click black box)

    3.8l N/A POWA! :4'' HAI\L67 HVTB\HV3\ER Rockers\WP underdrive pulley\Headers\cat delete\91 octane overkill incar tune.3.69 gears, Trans go shift kit.

False. You can run a GT1 cam with 1.7 rockers on stock heads.
