Hey I was wondering what's in the rear window antenna on my 02 Gtp. My windows getting tinted and they cut it off. I'm not too worried because they have insurance but I just wanna know what will it affect besides the phone?
If gm can put the antenna in there then there must be a way to replace it without a new window if it did screw it up.

Are you talking outside or inside? The black thing on the outside of the rear windscreen is the OnStar antenna. Inside on each side you have connections that attach to give power to the rear defogger...

Oh - and the one on top. I went out and looked at my car, and had never noticed the one on the top of the inside of the rear windscreen. Knowing what the other things are, I would imagine that would be the radio antenna and that's it.

Yeah its been snowing all week and they sanded the highways. Can't help it but since it will snow tomorrow. -35°c today then it will warm up to -10 so I'll wash her

Yeah - that's the OnStar antenna. Wouldn't worry about it - they just cleaned up your back window for you.
