So i bought my GP in august from a guy who drove it to Massachusetts from Cali. This will be the cars first New England winter. My mechanic said since its a cali car the underbody of the car wasnt properly coated for salt and snow. Should i need to prep my car for the winter or is it all set?

What year? The 04+ GP's were better suited for salt somehow, they just don't rust as much as the 97-03 gp's. Not just because they're newer either.

Assuming its the GP in your profile pic, you probably don't have to do anything to it. You could undercoat it if you wanted to, it would probably only cost you about $12 in undercoating but it takes some time.

I'd undercoat it regardless, just because its a car thats never seen snow or salt.

Spend the money now, so it doesnt bite you later.

Yeah it's an 04+, thanks for the input. I might as well do it just as a safety precaution.
