3800 transmission

I have a 2000 gtp and just blew my tranny. can i swap out any tranny for a 3800 or does it have to be from an L67?

I believe they l67 trans are built stronger to handle the increased power.

They're a different gear ratio though, so you'll still want the 4t65e-hd. 98-02.

l67 trans are just as weak as the n/a's the only thing that is different is the differential

97-02 4t65e is what he is saying.

Pretty sure all 96 cars had the 4t60e. And in 97 the non-supercharged cars still got the 4t60e.

I'm thinking the 96 had the 65 too but not sure
