Thread: head torque specs

Don't have a Torque-to-angle wrench, so what's the ACTUAL ft-lb torque spec for the heads, and what steps should it be done in?

Did that, couldn't find the relevant info.

If you're using TTY bolts, then you follow the TTY torquing procedure.

If you don't want to do that, you need ARP studs which have a different torque procedure and value.

If you don't have an angle meter (like me) then know your angles. I bet you could print out a protractor pretty easy and use that to get the angles.
