Quite a load was spent on my GXP right away. At the dealerships expense it got new rotors, pads, tires, and a tranny. Most of the money I've spent has been on oil changes, the exhaust and springs. Not too bad.

You wanna play you gotta pay
Well the repairs are normal, but having all of those go by that mileage is not. I'm at 111k and my "struts, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, radiator hoses, A/C condenser & oil pan gasket with a side of tensioners, and pulleys" are still original. (I just copied what you said and erased what's been replaced) Of course my wheel bearings are making a bit of noise, and my struts squeak over medium to large bumps. But they wern't at that mileage, that seemed to start after I bought the car at 108k.
It's not bad at all if yow want to feel a lot better. Look at those parts on other make and models. Not mention we don't have headgasket issues. Oh and not to mention routine maintenance timing belt changes.
Way more than I wanted to.
It has needed:
Starter ... Alternator ... Lower Intake Manifold Gasket (twice) ... Lost Overdrive in Tranny around 150K miles (put in a GM Reman unit) (also did lower control arms and bushings while they were easy to get to) ... Engine failure due to LIM Gasket issues ruining crank bearings (put in a GM Reman unit) ... another $4K for rear body work (trunk lid,
floor and bumper due to a rear end hit. Quarter panels had no damage) ... New struts and upper mounts (all 4) ... Replaced leaky radiator, along with hoses and T-Stat and coolant ... New power steering rack (leaky) and pump. And of course oil changes, plugs, wires, brakes, serpentine belt, tires (at least twice at $130 per tire) ... leaky flex joint on downpipe (replaced downpipe with ZZP unit), new resonator (had holes in it due to age and NJ road salt) .. Wheel hub bearings (all 4) and now it may need front ones again (and these were Timken) ... Of all of these, my main gripe was with the LIM issue as that caused me to need the new engine. Very costly to do at a dealer and it was a crap design by the GM engineers.

Brings up a good point this thread, as it would appear that some have done things to their car that were necessary and others who've done things they wanted but were not necessary! Lol...
So...
I can say that other than tires and typical maintenance, all that I've done was what I WANTED to do, but not necessary!
Bought her for $9,000 off the original owner back in early 07... Since then I have put so much money into her that I don't even want to try to tally it up... Should of just bought a new G8!!!
In actual repairs, non-mod related, I think I've put $500 into the car. For "mods", I put $15,000 within first two years, $10,000 in the third year (transmission rebuild, which CAUSED problems), $5000 in the fourth, and the past three years I've put $1,000~2000 each year. I think I am down to $500~ a year now as a perk. LOL
I gave $500 for my 98 Daytona.......I have an additional $3k in it now and haven't even been able to drive it. Needs a lot of work. I have replaced: Radiator, heater core, hoses, belts, plugs, wires, trans filter, AC compressor, all the AC O-rings, water pump, pads, calipers, rotors, flex lines, hard lines, all the vacuum tubing on engine, master cylinder, battery, both window regulators, headers, rebuilt SC, 3.4 pulley on SC, Fender crossmember supports, rear trailing arms, tires, struts, wheel bearings........and I do not know what is next.
Way too much but if I had to give a rough estimate.... 5k in after market parts, not including things like tires and maintenance. Funny thing is I only spent 2500.00 on her!
Too too much
I've done all the work myself and still have put about 7k into it without mods, not including the 800$ trans rebuild i couldnt do myself. I had to put in a new crate engine 2000 miles after i bought the car cause i got a knock. the worst part is i only paid 3k for the car
Much more than I intended to when I bought it... Originally the idea was to keep it clean and drive it... Then I got into a local car club and lost my damn mind...
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note II
$2600 for the car, $600 for the first engine, $399 for the second engine, ~$200 in gaskets, ~$80 on fluids. $9 for roof rails. A boat load of freebies parts from my old car. $~76 on a lower control arm and tie rod end. ~$80 for an S1x cam.
