My seal is coming up from around my windshield, how do I fix it,some say the windshield has to be tool out, does it?

im no pro, but if it was mine i would spray the rubber with wd-40, then carefully push it back in, the out side edge corner of the wind shield is the weakest part, so try not to push on the glass or slip.
The seal comes attached to the glass from the glass factory. It's not a seal for water, but a visual only thing. Best way to fix it is to have the windshield replaced.
What happens is the dude arrives with a new piece of glass that has the rubber piece preattached since that's how they come. Look at a windshield closely.. see how it's black for about the first inch or so around the edge? Under that is where the glue to hold it into the body of the car is located. The rubber does nothing.. it's decoration. Since yours is old and shrinking..you'll fight, glue and scream about it for a long time until you simply replace the window.
I'm thinking about cutting that corner off and cutting the the thing that goes around the windshield off and laying it flat and glueing it cause I've tried everything and it won't go down or stay down and it's bugging me
Sorry..I thought it was on the road.. Many places have glass coverage automatically.
