I have had this Service Vehicle Soon message that popped up on my message center about a 3 weeks ago. I have no check engine, abs, or any kind of warning light going off in my dash. I hooked up a generic code reader and couldnt pull any codes. Has anybody had this problem of have a solution to make it go away. It is very annoying!

service Vehicle soon is the body of the car. good chance your abs light and trac off lights are on as well. maybe a airbag light? or brake light on the dash?

is everything else is working as it should as far as you know? that light is only for the brakes and body of the car.

try clearing it, by unhooking the battery, if it comes back you need to get it scanned at a dealer. or a good shop that can read body codes.

this should have no affect on the engine or tranny. its a separate system.

Well i guess i did replace my brake pads probably 2-3 weeks before i got the message. and I know I need new wheel bearings somewhat soon. Could a wheel speed sensor cause the message if it went to crap?

its the speed sensor in the hub that makes the abs light come on. or bad wires, cut, damaged ect.

if the bearing is bad enough the sensor cant read right.

Check your headlights and brake lights. You might have one burnt out and I think that'll cause the svs light to come on.

Could it be the oil life monitor? The monitor doesn't know when you change the oil, so it may not have been reset.

I am going to fix my service engine soon light on my dash today. It involves a small square of black duct tape to cover up the light.

thats not the smartest thing to do. even if its for something you know about, like o2 sensor or egr, or some thing lame, if some thing else goes bad you wont know about it.
