Headers would make very little difference in the torque this car makes
Maybe not however it will make a difference in the hp esp if you change the injectors and pulley down which in return would gain back whatever tq lost by adding headers still money well spent. I know you've built and had faster cars which still confuses me even more why you refuse to do the simple things to make the most from that xpz cam..........
Ohh and post the numbers it made already!
where the dyno number wtf
Heaven forbid marines and unicorns visit this page before numbers are posted.
over 9000
200 and a blown head gasket lmao
Anyways first pull with the stock airbox:
264hp and 275ish tq
Pulled that off, and stuck a filter on the MAF for the second pull:
266hp and 278tq
It was still running pretty rich, but almost a dead even afr across the board, so I changed my base PE table from 11.1 to 11.3. And, for whatever reason, it went ran richer. Most of the pull was ~10.9afr.
259hp and I don't remember the tq.
I told myself that I would be happy with 260whp before I went in. This is one of those dyno's that break hearts, so I was pretty happy with what I made. It's pretty common for most people to lose 15-20% on this dyno from the dynojet that's in town.
My injectors are at 100% duty cycle at 5100 RPM's, so my next mod will be some bigger ones. I may try to get it to the track first, but I'm sure with that high of a DC, I'm losing a decent amount of power in the upper RPM's.
Given what zzps site says for the cam it should support 3.0 on a non ic engine and the dyno sheet shown on that pages also shows 400 plus hp and 400 plus tq.
(yes I get it that car has way better heads is intercooled and on a way smaller pulley that's not my point)
given the info on the cam and staggered pushrod length for intake and exhaust. I can understand the engine hp and tq numbers climb almost parallel to each other. Which mirrors your hp and tq numbers.
All of this still makes me believe headers injectors and a smaller pulley with another tune obviously would make this car an entirely different animal!
Btw please explain how injectors and a smaller pulley would help when its still being choked out? Can't cram more air in if you can't get it out.......
Because, exhaust manifolds are not a restriction. The car is having no trouble getting the air out. I don't understand where you are getting this idea.
No way you will see 400whp without an IC. I'm guessing with some race gas, pulley, and injectors, the car would maybe make 350.
