Engine was overheating last week, I replaced the thermostat and all was well until today.
First the "Reduced Engine Power" warning displayed, and I could feel the reduced power as if a cylinder or two weren't firing. Shortly after the "Service Traction System" warning showed.
I recieved 3 separate engine fault codes: P1125, P2125, and P2138. All point to the Accelerator Pedal Position sensor.
So my question is, where is the APP sensor located, and is it likely that anything else is going on?

Pull your throttle body off and clean it up.

could also be the throttle pedal position sensor....replace throttle pedal assembly

Clear the codes wait to see if it comes back more than likely its not a problem with anything but if anything check the wiring to the throttle body pull on each wire slightly to see if any of them have broken connection to the harness

Thanks everyone for your responses!
All of the wiring around the throttle body looks solid. The problem continues to occur about every other time I drive the car, sometimes stopping and turning off the engine fit a few seconds makes it go away.
Local parts stores want $75 after shipping for just the sensor.
Dealer says I'll have to buy the whole pedal assembly, which is $107.
How difficult would it be to replace the pedal?

throttle pedal is a simple fix ...a two bolts and a sensor connector .....of course its located where your left foot is while driving

Before you buy anything you need to take off the intake tube and verify your tb blade moves smoothly also push it back the opposite direction and make sure it do sent stick sometimes that can happen when the blade snaps back after give it some gas and will stick causing the reduced power mode as well...solution lightly sand the area in the tb bore with some 600 then 1000 till you get full movement

so the throttle body looks pretty clean, and the blades are moving smoothly by hand. I know I should just follow the many suggestions and clean out the tb, but I plan on getting rid of the car soon and don't want to put any more $ in than absolutely necessary.
So after looking at the picture I posted, if you still think it's the best course of action, I will promptly bite the bullet and pull that sucker off.

its not clean, open the flip up, thats where all the carbon is, and where it gets sticky is around the edge, i see black in the pic, bottom of the butterfly flap.
when you take it off you'll see all the crap in there. clean the back side and edges of the flap/butterfly as well.

You desperately need to clean that sucker out . 4 q0mm bolts and brake cleaner or carb cleaner and a little elbow grease and problem solved or you could keep ignoring the obvious and have to make a emergency maneuver in traffic and have reduced power mode happen and possibly get clobbered.....choice is yours broOriginally Posted by chadwick

I really appreciate the advice, got her all cleaned out and the blades definitely move smoother now. sensor is still malfunctioning so I'm sure if it hadn't failed when the warning first appeared, then it has now due to all of the testing. Part is on the way, so now I just have to keep driving the backup car, my wife's PT Cruiser, until Friday

Alright this same exact thing happen to my gf's uncle in his 2007 GP GT "SC". He had all the codes and took it to the shop and they said it was the "throttle pedal assembly" It cost him just over $300 for them to fix it but after that it never came back on.

so I replaced the sensor and i'm still having the same problem. is there a way to clear the codes without a reader?

unplug the battery for 30 minutes, this will clear the code, but only if what was wrong is fixed will it stay off. if its still ready to throw the code it will pop back in a few driving cycles. or stay off if the pcm is happy with the new sensor.

the accelerator pedal position sensor. it came connected to a new gas pedal
