So it has been about a year since I tossed my 01 GT aside and stepped into the import world...and some aspects my driving experience have improved...others have suffered...
My stock GT, despite being a joke compared to modded GTPs, was clean and sharp aesthetically. The car just looks badass and mean. Driving it, you get the sense that you are in a 70s-80s muscle car even though it really is just a 4dr family sedan. Stock alloys was ridiculously nice. The space! It was a comfy ride from what was supposed to be a sport sedan, the the side of the windows and seats matched my dimensions perfectly. The stock exhaust....my was that beautiful...one of things that originally got me and just made me buy that car. The 3.8...nough said. The fact that I would get stoplight challenges...and in the Accord, none at all...Grumbling in and out of gas stations and drive trus....turning heads after a car wash...will miss those days...
I will NOT miss:
-Transmish. Thanks but no thanks.
-MAF sensor recurring BS problems, leaving me at the side of the road 3-4 times.
-Dexcool, kthxbye.
-Inevitable rust problems.
-Goodwrench "good will" or rather lack there of.
-$400-600 repair every two months.
But overall if I was ready to buy new...there really isn't anything comparable to the Grand Prix these days...But if there was it would be at the top of my test drive list.
