    I painted the blower and fuel rails while I was doing the LIM and headers, and I am just not sure if I should apply Clear Coat to the blower or not....


    Here is what it looks like with NO clear coat.

    97 GTP Sold-prolly rusted away by now
    2011 F-150 Yote powered
    Too Hot to Handle, Too Cold to Hold

    I like it without clear coat. Plus if you screw up spraying the clear cost well then you'll have to go back to fix it or it'll look like ass. Keep like it is it looks good.

    i like the way it looks now but at the same time i'm curious to how it would look with clear coat applied to it.

    Clear will yellow in time so no
    dhp tune, sd lip, shiny stuffs, retros, gen 2 spoiler, gpo's, pregens

    I vote no on the clear cote as well... Not needed!

    They make a matte clear coat in engine enamel. I vote go for that to protect the paint job.

    Well I originally planned on clear coating it. I even bought the VHT engine clear. But now that I see it the shininess or the rails plays well with the matte finish on the blower.

    Yes it is heat "resistant" but it is still going to be affected whereas the clear will protect it more.
