So I have a 3" DP and a 38mm sway bar. In drive/fwd with the OE dogbones the flex pipe hits the sway bar if I get on it enough(and doesnt take much effort) and reverse is about the same.
Now when I had the shorter dogbones in it set the motor about 1"-2" more fwd which lifted/pulled the flexpipe/DP UP and away from the sway bar which was great bc I could then get on it from a dead stop and open it up without nothing rubbing or any grinding noises. BUT in reverse with these shorter DB is where I had the trouble. So bc the exhaust was pulled up a couple of inches, every time Im in reverse with the slightest gas you here a very ignoring grind(DP/flexpipe hitting the firewall) and worse depending on how much gas your giving it(like a small hill or slope where a more load is applied while in reverse).
So with the shorter DB's the DP/flexpipe is hitting/rubbbing the firewall(badly) but clear of the swaybar and with the OE length db's its rubbing on the sway bar badly but clear of the firewall.
Im currently running the OE DB's again but I loved the shorter ones. Im just gonna leave the OE ones on for now(which are still causing the flexpipe to hit the swaybar in fwd & reverse) but is there a way to prevent the DP/flexpipe from hitting the swaybar(whether with shorter or OEM)? DP is 3" and the Sway is 38mm
Thanks Guys....
