I believe what you're asking is, how you put the new wiper arms in the correct spot after taking the old ones off? If that's it, I believe that you must put the wipers in a spot you will remember (like straight up, or down). Or mark it on the windshield with a bar of soap, and don't put the key in the ignition until you've got the new ones on and ready. I've never done it, so other input is appreciated.

yes what happened is my car wipers would stay in the upright position when I turned the switch of and so I tried to time the wipers right so that they would go down in the off position and I didnt mark the before I did that lol now I cant seem to get them right...

Ahh, I think I see what is happening here. What it sounds like is that the cam for the wipers is bent and not stopping/parking them at the bottom as they should. This can be fixed w/ no parts usually. You need to pull the wiper cowl and the cover to the wiper transmission on the drivers side. You will see a small tab in there. Bend it back down a bit and cycle the wipers. They should do one sweep and then catch that stop on the cam and park at the bottom. If not, then bend it down a bit more. I just used a hammer and small flat punch to fix mine. Been working fine ever since.

Do a search for "wiper stuck in up position" or something along those lines. This is a common issue.
