Are you saying that theres 3" of standing water on your floorboard?
from the bottom. but not anymore.
i used towels to soak it out.
its still really wet when you press on it your hand get wet. nd it feels like its ruining everything underneath.
its losing the shape of a floorboard.
what should i do?
ahhhh so many problems with this car.
I would reccomend carpet an insulation replacement. Mold could build up between the two and end up causing you to get sick.
If you don't want to do that, put a fan in the car, aimed at the wet area overnight, or for at least 12 hours. Spary the affected area heavily wth fabreeze every few hours if possible. That should help take the smell out without a "cover up smell" for too long.
find some one with a dehumidifier, set it in your backseat maybe on some plywood to keep it level. That will dry it out completely. If your still afraid of mold, you can mist it with vinegar, since bleach would F it up. Car might smell kosher dill for a few days.
A carpet wet vac is the best thing to use. Everytime I clean someones car or buy a new on for myself I use it.
Its a small unit that has a spray gun with the vac hose it aswell, I spray the carpet with the cleaner, scrub it in and vacuum up all the water and its dry within hours.
