2005 GP little to no heat... and its winter

Firstly Hi everyone I'm not a GP owner, but my mother is and right now shes freezing in this below 30 degree temps we are having.

Shes got a 2005 grand prix (base), the fan controls work on low to high, but the problem is only a little bit of heat comes out and its when the fans are barely blowing, as u ramp up the speed the temp drops fast. I changed the thermostat, and did a flush and still wasn't fixing it. There was dexcool coolant used but its fairly new in the system (last flush was in 2010). I touched the coolant lines and the ones that run into the firewall and they are all nice and warm with no temp differences. But the heat won't blow or work inside the cabin. So which leads me to believe something in the dash has failed.

Any ideas as to what it could be? Should I try blowing air into the heater core hoses and see if that cures anything? Any links or DIY for removal of parts or testing of parts will be GREATLY appreciated since I'm clueless on GM cars.

Have u opened the bleeder screw o. Top of the thermostat to bleed the air outta the system? It also could be the blend door actuator that controls warm or cold air I believe

I would really check that. Haveing replaced my hole cooling system on my 06. alot of the time there is just air stuck in the heater core. May take a-while to bleed out the air. Just recently I replaced the water pump on my moms chevy malibu. I thought I had the system bleed turned the heat on and got cold air. Opend the bleeder valve back up and it spit air out for about 2 min. strait. After that had all the warm air I could handle. Sometimes its a pain to bleed.

Since the flush was done and you aren't hearing gurgling or seeing unusual engine temps, it sounds like the cooling system is good.

I'd look to the blend door actuator. Look for full movement within 45 seconds of you changing the temp from low to high or vice versa.

how do I get access to this, I believe this might be a issue. I dont notice nothing changing lol

I'm a little confused as to what your issue is here. Is it a lack of airflow, or just cold air?

This is what has me confused. Is it not blowing, or is it cold air?
