I noticed eaton is producing new rotor packs for the gen 3 blower. the advantage is that they have the gen 5 coating on them. I was wondering how much more flow these will allow and maybe be able to drop a pulley because of more flow.

also would these be a pain to replace yourself?

Wouldn't more/better flow mean you wont have to drop pulley size?????????

    Just a thought.

And replacing the rotor pack is simple, unbolt the snout and remove them and replace.

I see what you are saying. I was thinking if you had more flow then you could drop a pulley size.

Would probably be cheaper to buy a gen 5 off another member or junkyard than buying a brand new 3rd gen rotor pack from Eaton.

I already have a gen 5. I was just curious about the new rotor pack with the gen 5 coating. I just havent put the gen 5 yet.

The gen 3 rotor pack with the new coating is just that, a new coating. The rotors are exactly the same other than the new, more durable coating on them. They won't flow any better than the old gen 3 rotor pack.
