While trouble shooting the trunk release and not getting anywhere (next stop locksmith), I dropped the glovebox and found 2 sensors behind the fuse box. now the question.. what are these for? would anyone of these be the sensor for the trunk release?

Those are relays not sensors.

would one of these be for the trunk? or is the relay at the trunk lock location?

I don't know. I know they aren't sensors and are relays. I don't have the schematics or component locator in front of me.

It could be the actuator in the back. I got one from Pull-A-Part for like $5 and it fixed it, but at the same time you could hear the actuator moving when I pressed the button but didn't pop the lock.

cool, thanks!! going to bite the bullet anyway and get a key, and tackle this issue.. I do know I am getting juice to the trunk button and did a cross over test and still nothing, so it will have to be the relay (actuator).

well, after finally getting the trunk open (via the rear seat access!) with no e-release, I replaced the actuator with a new one, and tested the electrical, and no juice! I have taken the key cyliner out so I can get in with a screw driver, but now the puzzlement.. I have juice to the button in the glove box but no juice to the back.. my fob works fine and had it tested at ORileys. after looking at other posts I have no problems with door locks, or backup lights I guess what I need to do next is take out that park switch that located under the console to see about juice there..
any other input would be appriciated..
