Okay so I am thinking about buying this 2004 Grand Prix GTP. It has a 104,000 miles and fully loaded with everything but the paddle shifters and HUD.

Everything is working perfect. The interior is in prestine condition and looks basically brand new. The outside has barely any scratches and no dents. It is black and the tires have decent treads and decent breaks.

I looked up the VIN number and the vehicle was in an accident and sold at an auction during a criminal case at some time. This guy bought it and fixed the front bumper, side skirt, and hood and did a repaint. Nothing was shown as damage to the engine or main frame or interior. He also sent me pictures of what the car looked like before he fixed it for proof.

I talked him down from $6500 to $5500 and he wont go any lower.

    Is this a good deal?

    Thanks

If it looks good and was repaired correctly, buy it.

I found it on Craigslist. It is by far the best deal I have seen in the last 2 weeks. The guy who owns it is a clean freak. I cant find a speck of dirt on the interior or exterior... Bluebook in excellent condition has this at $7700.

I refuse to use blue book unless there's no other option. Reason being is around me, blue book says a 2002 GP is worth $5,000 and yet..you would never be able to sell one for over $3,500. IMO that's a large difference.

If it looks fine and drives great, it prolly worth picking it up, the price seems right for the year.

Here is another add i found. This one is a 2004 gtp compg series I talked this girl down to 4100.

    Heres the add:
    $4,450 FOR SALE

I am the second owner of this car and this is my 2nd GTP
Car runs good but does need some minor repairs.
Front tires are new but car does need new rims, oil has always been changed with synthetic. Most miles on the car are highway miles. It gets me to and from Chicago for work. Dent on driver side by rear tire.
I will sell the car with the 2 kenwood subwoofers ad the kenwood amp works wonderful!!!!!

    Miles 131000
    Year 2004
    Color silver
    All leather
    Heated seats
    Moon roof
    Power everything
    Heads up display

Think this would be a better buy? I havent even test drove it yet though.

The first one has lower miles and seems to be in better cosmetic condition.

Right but it does have paddle shifters, HUD and a better sound system. But are paddle shifters and a HUD really worth it?

    Hud is. Paddle is not.

But its a comp g which is worth it. Better gearing.
