i have no idea what size it is, but if you take the other bolt with you to a hardware store, you find a nut that fits the bolt you have and then you know what size it is, find the matching bolt you need now.
There used to be a thread with this information, but I cannot find it for the life of me.
Might have been in the FAQ section.
I am sorry I can't help you this time. ...Fastenal makes a 4in 1 combo gauge.... It consists of a rivit gauge, internally threaded screw gauge, drill and tap gauge. It comes in very handy and you will never be left wondering what size of bolt or thread dia. metric or standard. The part # is 11121072 ....I am sure you can get the samething other places.....Scott

Also, at Advance and I guess other auto stores, they usually have a peg board with labeled threaded holes and studs of varies sizes and coarseness of thread and it makes it really easy to figure out what it is.
Mine has that anyway, makes it a breeze matching up bolts and nuts
That thread lists the head size, not the thread size and pitch.
GM Part Numbers 24505628 and 11508040
Size M8x1.25x25
I used ARP 661-1002 bolts with 12 point heads and they fit perfectly.
