Battery?
Psychological.
Mines got 213k on stock motor and trans. About 10K of that is with a 3.4 setup.
already got a built trans, i blew my stock ones forward band at 170k lol im just talking about the occasional race at a light or from a roll flooring it to show off that sort of stuff, i dont drive it hard commuting around, i dont know how much upkeep it had its first 168k miles but since ive had it ive kep it in top shape
Motor will be fine with normal upkeep. If you have a built trans then you have nothing to worry about.
beat mine senseless for the last 100k miles... Thing runs as good as the day i bought it at 110k miles. Factory everything under the hood other than plug wires/plugs.
wow i hope i have as good of luck as you guys a buddy of mine had one with 215k on it and it threw a rod through his block...but that was before i met him so i never really got a good look under the hood of that car
And it was probably eating coolant from a failed LIM gasket and spun a bearing.
These motors can last quite a while. It's the rest of the car you have to worry about, lol... POS hub bearings!
172k miles here. Everything is stock, I beat on it sometimes but I try not to, like everyone else has said before me, the tranny is the only real worry. I actually had to replace my battery a couple of weeks ago but oh well. My tranny is stock and is showing signs of giving out. But damn that engine just wont quit!!
