i think its just comparing apples to oranges. If you want a more sporty look get the 2dr. If you want to drive more than one person easier and like the sleeper status, get a 4dr. When i was looking for my gtp i didnt care if it was 2dr or 4dr i just looked for the best deal.
I did have a preference when I got mine. I wanted a 2 door... But I would have taken a 4 door. Just for the whole "HA HA MY 4 DOOR IS FASTER THEN YOUR CIVIC".
Lol I was gonna say... In what world is a coupe heavier than a sedan? Just cuz the doors are heavier than ONE of the sedans doors? But the sedan still has 2 MORE than the coupe. Like Sean said, two more doors, two more door panels, two more window regulators AND windows.
I still kick myself for not buying the GTP coupe that got traded in a few years ago at the Toyota dealership I worked at. 99 GTP Coupe black on black, 85,000 miles, every option, everything worked, paint was BEUTIFUL still, best part a little old lady was the original owner
When I was 16 I loved coupes, they are just sportier. Now Im 26 and all about low key so sedan it is. Sleeper status is the ultimate W T F scenario for the other guy.
i dont think they have any more comfort with 4 or 2 doors, you can let them in with out having to fold your seat up, or get out to let them in. they have their own door to use. and its easier to bang in the back seat if your not climbing over the fronts to get back there.
unless you use the front pass seat to get your kicks, that how i used to do it in a 70 firebird, shes riding lol the VW rabbit was a tight fit too, but it still worked.
I wanted a comfortable 4 door for road trips that I could sit in the back of without banging my head. Had a Camaro when I was a teenager and what a PITA it was to load 4 girls in the back seat (that's right 4). Funny thing is this GP is quicker than my 77 Camaro with a 350 and 4speed. Anyway married w/kids 4dr, teenager 4dr. Ditto on the door hinge thing, those Camaro doors weighed like 300 lbs ea and always had bad hinges, these doors on my GP are maybe 100lb.
