aircraft stripper will also burn your hands, stuff works great tho, ive used it in the past as well. bubbles the paint fast, then scrap it off.
Nope, someone did something custom, or special ordered them aftermarket. I've seen several 03 LEs and all use the same needles, just a different backing on the cluster. This is odd. If I had to guess, someone is trolling us.... HeavyD what did you do???
So I spent an hour and a half or so stripping the worst of the four rims...... i've decided i'm just gonna take them off and sandblast them lol
Before:
After aircraft:
After washing:
That rim is seriously chewed up on the lip. i would get new rims unless you are going to fix those
Ok your right.
I scraped the orange off the back of the old needles from my cluster, and they are clear, and painted blue where the orange was and now blue, the 04 - 05 needles are red in the plastic - cant do anything like that to them.
Thinking of using my old needles and make them all blue.
I wish i knew that was possible before i bought the 04 - 05 needles - but the red would match the cluster lights since their are red and i cant seem to find a glow overlay for the Metric cluster.
I just wanted to see if anybody could figure out they were modded stock.
here is a pic of the blue needle on with the 04 and stock
Picked up the SE lip from the painter
really? never would have guessed that........................
ok here are the needles half lighted - and not
Well i'll see how they look after sand blasting and go there. That's what happens when you fall asleep at the wheel and bounce off the curb :/ like I said though that's the worst of the four plus there's still one diamond spoke rim I can pull from the junk yard if worse comes to worse. I'm thinking about grabbing that one anyway so I can have a spare tire
