In all seriousness, drive it and if you like it more then pull the trigger.
Oil change, and a pulley drop. 0 KR at WOT with a 3.2.
Used it like a snowmobile. Snow at the end of the driveway is never an issue. Give it some throttle and plow right on through.
Got your money's worth outta that, didn't you?
Struts/springs came in today, but they will sit till it warms up. Still have a huge list of stuff to order when my return gets here. Gonna be NavyBlue 4x4 status come march/april.
i love them rivets pushed out of the pad lol
I'll get a video later, but I noticed my GTP making a tick/slight knocking sound. The sound changes when I rev the engine up or down. It doesn't sound like rocks rattling in the supercharger, but it is kind of close to that.
I have had a supercharger go bad before and it sounded like rocks tumbling. This sound is similar, but I'm not sure.
Tomorrow I plan on taking the belt off and see if the noise goes away.If it doesn't I think I might have a serious issue.
Settled with my insurance co on the GTP's latest adventure. Once I get my deductible from the other guy's ins it will add up to just short of $3500 and I keep it with clean title. Need to go fix it ASAP because I only have 2 days rental left. Trouble is, I still can't really work with the injured hand yet. Worked Monday and that was a big healing setback.
Who can tell me if an 02 steering wheel / airbag will be a direct swap (does it bolt up and plug in the same) on a 99?
GTP stuff, thinking of using the 40th wheel and bag maybe.
Just for a quick reply, I do not believe they are swapable without modification. I saw a thread asking that same question a while ago, doubt I'd find it again
thanks, Blue. I could swap the entire column but thats probably even more work. Seriously thinking of just adapting an old school black Grant four spoke wheel and horn button I have laying around. That would be unique (don't want bag or radio buttons anymore). I don't get along real well with the search function here but will give it a shot at finding relevant wheel swap info.
Also wondering if the steering assist by chance reads the clockspring or if thats only for the SIR. So I'll know if I should change that while I'm in, since there was a deployment.
column comes out like nothing really. its only 4 bolts iirc, maybe 2 and the bolt that holds the steering shaft to the column, and the clock spring and multi switch plugs and the radio wire. can be taken out literally like 20 minutes. or less.
