It's a recent development.
False knock maybe?

It's too consistent. I'm not sure what's going on with the goofy car.
Good reason to cam

Very nice. Any plans for it other than the obvious trans upgrades?
Thanks! I love it.
Not a whole lot planned, for awhile at least. A few cosmetics for sure. I see a lot of people putting the k&n intakes on them, but those set ya back almost $300. I haven't researched if I could make my own yet.
So maybe with some time I'll do some under the hood goodies but I wanna get it paid off first.
I think those are called wheels silly :P
Is it that they are shiny? Probably came off some other GM car.

Slot the airbox, Danielle! Just kidding. Well, maybe you could... Thats a primo score, D. Slick ride, seriously. For a red... four door... Chevy. (had to) I bet you can get used to it quickly and theres certainly many years of trouble free service ahead, despite whatever DOD trans terror exists. You probably don't drive like a wild woman. Thats drive-by-wire, ain't it? DBW is my technology boundary, I can't stand it if the throttle makes me wait (comes from battling QuadraJets for twenty years I guess) so I want my foot hooked to something, lol. FWIW I'd like to have your white one, too. But you're gonna top swap that and raise hell instead, aren't ya? How far away is the nearest drag strip, hmmm.
I was an Imp guy myself, in 1985. Went to college in this- man what a slug lol. 283 2bbl V8, 2 speed trans. Total opposite of an LS4, and my first and last more door.
I did touch the Pontiacs today. Got the 99 GT out of the tall grass and put a borrowed spare tire back on it. Ants had set up shop in the driver's door jamb, hadn't moved it in a month or so. Changed the tire, ran the windshield washers, parked it. Read about the newest wave of city ordinances harshing my mellow, so I also went out back and gave another shot to cranking up the 72 GP. No go. maybe if I swap starters. Gotta move that soon, somewhere. All I did to the GTP was drive hell out of it. Weather is dishing record lows here so its nice with all the glass open. Of course the purple one is gonna love the evening air later. A pretty good day.
WTH, I'm gonna talk about work for a second, but it is what I did today... I try not to do this TOO often-
This is my project since... well pretty much all this year. FWIW, sanding will build up your upper body muscles over time. Just block mud for about six months, you'll see. Its kind of a muscley truck. 41 Ford with some 41 car and other similar vehicle parts on it, lol. It came to us as a rough rat rod. Its using a "Coyote" engine. I think thats a 400-something horse '12 (?) Cobra 4 valve 5.0. The frame is from Roadster Shop, all new with rack and pinion steering, etc. I spent a month easy on each rear fender, for example. Its aimed at the SEMA show. The bed box is new but I installed the roll pan and frenched the tail lights and tag indent, and added the side exhaust outlets. Plus plugged all the rail ends and smoothed all welds, etc. The cab was huge fun to smooth out ha ha, been months ago and that pain is forgotten though. Basically I just got it back from the mechanic guy and now I have a bunch of body guy stuff to haul ass thru. See how the hood has a serious overbite at the grille? I chopped the front of the hood today and am currently fixing all the mismatches around the front end. Theres plenty. The mech dude was working on the air intake so the engine shot is cluttered.
Bed and it's parts got shot today. Hard to take good pics in the booth. But there ya go, a little color for your Friday night GPF-ers.
Badass truck, whos the other guy in the pic? He's like "what the hell you doing"
ALSO THANK YOU, someone else who shares my DBW hate. In my grandparents vehicle's that have drove it I either take off way to fast or not fast enough and give it too much gas. The feel just isn't ad nice as my GP the resistance in the pedal is lacking. Plus when your crusing and disabled the cruise you gotta kinda guess where the pedal would be like if you just wanted to kick the cruise off. Opposed to my car you just rest your foot on the pedal, kick off the cruise and your cherry.

LMAO yeah thats the painter, helluva guy. I snapped another when he moved a little, guess I u/l-ed the wrong one. Busted!
Cherry indeed. Come on down and I'll let you take the 455 around the block ... throttle response is URGENT. My bud drives a 6 speed stick ricer thats DBW. I don't think I'd like stick with DBW but I guess I shouldn't knock that until I try it. I just know the rental dogs I drove during the wrecking binge were like something Microsoft would build...
"Are you sure you would like 100% throttle? Mr Driver, do you really want to... well I guess he is still holding the pedal down so... All hands on deck now, and everyone push!"
To me, it was worse than driving a GT with no shift kit in that respect. But respect was due, to the acceleration. Those DBWs do fine and probably work better than my foot but it just ain't the same. Kyle, you're a throwback. Born too late, like me but later.
This is so accurate and funny.
455 wouldn't be bad, I would be too afraid to wreck it. So passanger seat is fine with me. I usually drive like a old person in cars that arnt mine. I beat the tar out of my GP somedays or if I'm in the Trans am on occasion.
Idk about born too late, I just enjoy simple things. Even if the simple things confuse me. Then again it doesn't take much to confuse me.

Well, Danielle will probably tan our hides for wire bashin but hey. All I'm saying is that it is refreshing to a person like myself, to find that not all the younger ones want the latest tech. I think its important for folks of all ages to remember the tech trail that put us where we are. Honestly, we're probably lucky to still be controlling our cars' speed independently. Now that the robot driver tech is fairly polished up, theres probably a way to keep us from stomping it at all on the horizon. I like to imagine sometimes what the normal person's concept of acceleration was a century ago. Wha'dya drive? Quarter horse, Mustang, Morgan? Same deal, only oats were premium.
Too much Gunsmoke lol
