Dan don't bring your slow car
Got the stock fog lights put back in today. Yay for having fogs again!
I may go look at a 05 GP GT this week. Its at a local dealer in town. Its got 93k miles. Black leather, sunroof, silver exterior.
I drove past it the other day and it caught my eye so I looked it up. They rarely get GPs in and when they do they seem to not last long.
I'm between another gp, impala ltz or malibu ltz.
Ew base model n/a
took timing case off and well found this
some know my caR wouldnt start... well the timing marks never met while spinning.. so i hopefully fixed both of these issues today
Just a couple pictures from today....
Right after I jumped it and pulled it out of the unit which it barely fit in, mudflaps scrapped on what was not even a 1 inch bump as I pulled it out.
All dusted off and back home!
Oh and of course it was supposed to rain all day yesterday and today and it waited until an hour after I got it home to rain on not only this clean thing but my clean winter beater. Did I mention the Ac still works and surprisingly ran, drove, and shifted fine after sitting for almost six months?
Washed it.
Got the trans back in the demod, swapped struts, got the front cover back on, hb on, wp on, got a lot done in the 2 hours i had to work on it today lol
Looks sweet, makes me wanna do a double din

Do it
What a day. Didn't do anything to the GP other than take it to town to take my brother to get parts.
We ended up doing a bunch to my sister-in-law's G5.
My brother went to change the oil. He was jacking the car up, the jack slipped off the cross-member and folded the radiator in half and busted the fan up. That's when he called me.
I go over and we figured out we were going to be forced to remove the bumper cover to get the old rad out due to the area it now encompassed.
So what started as an oil change turned into bumper cover removal and reinstall, radiator change, fan change, coolant change, headlight assembly swap, and hood swap.
He had the hood and headlights sitting around since last fall when she rearended a truck. Since we had the whole front end apart he figured we may as well put that stuff on.
The only real issue we ran into was the tranny line fittings didn't want to seal good. After 2 failed attempted we ran out to work (well where I start work tomorrow) and threw some pipe thread and pipe dope on the fittings and then back to his house to put it back together again. After that, no leaks.
Oh yea, do it. The Android based ones are the best part. I've got a 64 GB jump drive, 2 GB micro-sd, and 8GB internal, so I've got plenty of music and movies. Poweramp gives you a 10 band EQ, Torque Pro will fade the music out and alert you to high temperature\KR\whatever alarm I set, Sygic will do the same for GPS, I put in a night vision rear view camera for $13, the list goes on and on. I love this thing. It does have it's frustrations that come with android though, so be advised, lol. It was less than $300 shipped to my door, so I can't really complain.
