I stopped at the carwash and washed it. Just a quick job, only spent $3.

Then I came home and used some spray on wax detailer to give it a little extra shine, and to make sure I didn't miss anything else at the carwash.

I really need a pressure washer. My water pressure sucks at this house. I miss the badass pressure I had ay my old house.

Just dropped the Impala off at the shop. High pitched whine when turning or accelerating that changes pitch during acceleration, and a sloshing noise in the engine bay. Hopefully just a power steering pump and low coolant.

I wish I didnt have hard water at home. My water is free, but it leaves spots that are hard to remove.

Its easier to install a water softener than it is to increase water pressure. If hard water were my problem I wouldn't be complaining.

    I hate hard water.

We have really hard water here at work. Many years ago I washed my dark blue T-Bird here. The water spots would not come off. Had to buff them out. Haven't washed a car here since. Thank god I have normal water at home.

New headlight lenses, Silverstar Ultras and rear 6x9s. Easier said than done. Especially with the Monsoon package...

Took er into the GM dealer, the third cylinder was misfiring. The coil, afterall cost was really cheap. Changing that coil woulda been a pain in the ass. Also found out they keep supercharger oil in stock at the shop

My old house had city and well water. The well water actually left marks in the clear on my car, I'm sure a nice clay bar will remove them.

Go buy a Haynes manual. Best $25 you'll spend on your car. Just got a $1700 estimate to change radiator, water pump, thermostat, S/C pulley, belts, and power steering pump. No thank you. Christ, they want $137 parts and labor for the thermostat! $10 for a thermostat and gasket at the car shop. Pulley and belts? Shop wants $253! I have my older larger pulley and the belt, and $25 tops for the main belt.

Might try doing the radiator and the pumps myself as well. I can probably get that $1700 estimate down to under $500 in parts. Only part of that estimate I may actually pay for is the coolant system service. And even then it's just to clean out hoses, since a new radiator and water pump will be in place!

that too is also easy work, no need for a shop for any of your repairs.

    rad 70 bucks.

    t stat 10

water pump 45 tops. comes with a gasket, you need some thread sealant, another 6 bucks.

prestone coolant flush what 10 bucks?

    new coolant, 14 bucks.

somewhere around 150 ish in parts. maybe less with a discount code at advance auto. and a few hours of your time. hows that sound? better right? lol

I`ll definitely have to pick up a Haynes manual. Just gotta go buy the tools to service my car myself now. The front struts should be replaced soon. That would be a good start.

The one radiator that Advance lists has 2 stars. Guy said it failed on him a few months after getting it. Might go with ZZP's $150 one, or something on RockAuto. Water Pump and Power Steering are probably Advance Auto plus coupon purchases though. I have a 180* thermo I put in my GP, and it ran really cold. So I put a 195* in it, but held on to the 180.

I should have almost all the gaskets I need, too. Bought a gasket kit from ZZP years ago, and never used any of them yet.

do the p/s pump and the water pump on the same day, you need to unbolt the p/s pump to change the water pump. thats 2 birds one day trick
