Took the clear-coat off the lip of my drivers side deep dish bullet wheels and polished them with mothers. will do the other side tomorrow.
I loaded them up on the brake lathe and wet sanded the lip with 80, 120, 180, 220, 400, 600 grit. After that i hit them with a polishing wheel and compound. Followed up with mothers. Wow they almost look new. Not much I can do about the black powder coat where it has some rock chips.
I got get up early tomorrow and do the other side, see what i can do about paint chips, and give the whole car a good wash, buffing, polish and wax.
Reinstalled wideband and new innovative gauge and Installed water pump ...boy what a breeze with no battery in the way so glad I relocated it in anticipation for future maintnence...anyways I might have stumbled on my clunking that's happening lately.
Keep In mind these bolts were tight but I guess it do sent like v8 tourqe. Lol anyways here's a pic I plan on getting some metal dowel rod and drilling through the mount and body so it can't move under acceleration like it has been.
Hmm ..
Just no.
Idk I kinda like them but I'm feeling there not for this type of car
They wouldn't look good on any car.
They're that bad huh?
Have a scanner handy???
Put the car in R or D and foot brake it hard, then mash the gas but don't let it break away. With the huge load put on the motor it'll start to misfire hard and hopefully tell you what cylinder. Wait till the SES starts flashing.
It'll sound bad with the popping, but its alright.
Wtf is with all the misfires latly? Ive been battling one for a month now and been seeing more and more threads about the same thing. The government is up to something with the gas again.
Ok maby not but it sounds good.
Found AC leak through the fill port not sealing.System was empty so I changed the schrader valve.
I filled it to check for leaks and it is good, will need to take it and have it professionally charged.
I read on a post a while ago that the oil really only leaks out of the high side ? If so did I not lose any oil? Some of the oil or all of the oil ?
I don't have access to one till tomorrow afternoon, so i will do that then. I'd never heard it pop till tonight. Before it just said random but now its narrowing it down to which one. I did pour some seafoam in the tank today after it set the light off the first time.
I'm going to put in the new MAF tomorrow. I was hoping it would solve my problems but I know it won't now since its misfiring.
I took a trip with the GP to detailing.com to pick up some new supplies to try out.
Changed the front valve cover gasket
hauled my 2005 GP back to my house after it died and refused to start last night. the idiot drivers behind me seemed to think it was OK to tailgate me. I guess they never tried to haul a 1 ton trailer without 5th wheel option, if one is not careful the trailer can start fishtailing. There are many youtube video of this caused by either excessive speeding, wind, or from driver who can't stay straight.
One of these day I'll figure how to add a drop box under the rear bumper that holds caltrops. Next time I get a persistent tailgater, I'll release the latch and watch them suddenly slow down and pull over with 4 flat tires.
(PS moderator: feel free to steal whistling gif for the forum, I didn't find one in this forum's collection of smiles)
