Drove it to the extremely over-packed Devils Lake State Park yesterday. Also thought about putting a HD lip on the GXP as I did with the Comp G. Can't help but think about it every time I look over at the green turd.
Had my Mariner Hybrid shut off twice while out delivering papers, with the Stop Safely Now alert that occurs on some Hybrids. My wallet will be $750 lighter later today to have a pump replaced.

Finished detailing it. Over the past couple of days the car got a polish with the DA using M205 to remove some minor swirls, a coat of kalsse all in one, two coats of klasse sealant and finally a coat of megs M26.
If I had time I would have done the repair myself. The pump that went bad is less than $200. But I didn't have time to wait for it to be shipped, or spend all day on a phone trying to track it down. I'm not upset that it went bad. Typically the folks on the hybrid forums say the pump goes bad at 50k miles. Mine made it to 100k miles. Everything else still going strong. Original brakes are still installed on the front. I changed the OEM brakes on the rear at 80,000 miles. And find me another SUV that gets 28 MPG with start and stop driving that delivering newspapers requires.

I love those mirrors even more now that they are functioning!
Oh, and I looked in my remote start book to see if I could program the remotes to lock/unlock myself and I ended up screwing it all up. So now my remote start doesn't work. Boooo. So now I gotta wait and have them fix that too when I go in next Saturday for programming.
See what happens when I mess with electronics....I break sh!t.

My plan today was to prep and undercoat. Unfortunately I spent 4 hours on scraping and didn't even get to wash or undercoat. On the bright side my car is a pound or two lighter with all of the rust off...
At a serious crossroads......finish out the suspension or order cam lifters pushrods timing gears etc....

^^^I'll try that tomorrow. After I get the battery charged. My DIC read 9Volts. Weak. But, does a weak battery cause the alarm to go off and keep the car from Starting? Seems odd to me.
SeanP; it sounds like the cat to me, I had the same problems about a year and a half ago. Replaced the cat and it was running great till a rod bearing, mass airflow sensor and O2 sensor went bad. When I replaced the cat I also replaced the EGR valve because that clogged up too. But I ran it with a clogged converter for a long time before I figured it out.... but what I did to my car today was swore at it a lot when I realized the clutches between 1st and 2nd are goin bad, as well as the clutches between 2nd and 3rd are goin to.
Flushed coolant and replaced low coolant sensor now i gotta put in a 180°stat, gap and put in autolite 104 spark plugs. Next will be putting in my Ported Exhaust Manifold, Crossover, 3" DP & 3" Cat-Back.
