Drove th SUV to do some errands, was 95 Degrees out here in Orange County. Now its 99, and freakin hot, came home and opened up the hood to get some of the hot air out of the engine quicker and the engine seemed to like the open air. Wish i can just throw some water on it and cool it more, the heat is not nice to engines these days.
As long as an engine stays below 212 it's fine. Above is getting too warm, as the fans should kick on (or a belt driven fan should spin 1:1) Speaking of being hot under the hood, what is the point of the hood liner? It seems to quiet engine sound and keep in heat, both things I don't want. I saw somewhere removing it is a "mod". Is it a good idea? I like the sound of the 3.8 engine, exhaust is okay but I like the engine sound better.
Did something to the grills. The lower one is still under construction lol

^ same here the pro vs the cons wasn't enough for me to keep it on.
Typically... If ANYTHING sets on fire under your hood.... You're boned.
JBL GTO938 6 x 9-Inch 3-Way Loudspeaker brought my new speaker still need the other
Ran new pipe and fixed exhaust on Gary (aka slow oldsmobile)
Finally put in the speakers for the hatch I had got for the camaro a while ago. Sounds stronger now !
Correct
My car gets 225f.
Do I need 180 tstat?
And I have 5-30 oil do I need 10-30 now for the summer?
and the 180 wont do anything for you unless you get a tune
I never noticed any difference when I took it off and I don't see it making the engine any louder personally. I thought it looked cheap and cheesy so that's why I removed it.
