I won't worry about getting one with a chip anymore. I never lost my keys if anything I will lock them in the car again. Thankfully dummy key will help with that now.

When I had the G6, I locked the keys in the car with it running in Louisville, KY. In that town, unless there is a child in the car, police won't unlock it. So here it is, 10pm and 5 hours away from home trying to find a locksmith. 2 hours later, almost an empty tank of gas and $50 I had an unlocked car.
IIRC I had just spent money at Advance prior to that happening. I had to return the parts to pay the Locksmith never again.
Got some action on the DIC..traction control disabled, reduce brake, stability control disabled, AbS disabled etc etc guessing short somewhere in the ABS wiring...ill have to chase that down when I get a chance.
i also paid a lock smith, (once) 75 dollar lesson.
the next time i had just bought my 03 gmc, it was 2 weeks old, i was out on long island and locked the keys in the truck while at a job site. had to go to the manger of the store, and ask for a phone book, found a lock smith a few miles away, called him, called the dealer to get my key code, and had that guy cut me a key, cost 30 bucks that time. but i had a spare key now.
i even lucked out with a ride from the manger to the locksmith.
Way back in the day (2002) I was leaving work in my Stealth. I worked security at a power plant, and the power plant was way down this back road. It was slightly raining and as I round this curve there is a guy absolutely FLYING down the road, and he's left of center. I slammed the brakes and slightly cut the wheel to avoid a collision and ended up side swiping the guard rails. I jump out of the car with it running in the middle of the road and slam the door shut and walk around to check the damage. It wasn't as bad as I had thought it would be, but I go to get back in and the door locked.
So, long story short, car is running, and locked in the middle of the road. Thankfully, like I said, it was a back road, so traffic is minimal. Also thankfully it was only a few miles from my house so I called my brother and had him bring me my extra key.
Gave up on having spare key. For some reason I'd always lose a key if it wasn't the last key to my car. Lost a couple for J2000, lost one for Altima, lost one for Malibu. Got tired of paying $100 every time to make spare key for the last 2 cars so I said eff it.
Been driving with only 1 key for the last couple years now. As long as the fob still works, I'm not worried about locking in keys. (keys and fobs are separate key chain BTW)
Anyway what I did today: ordered a couple parts. A new updated rain deflector to replace the dumb gasket that keeps falling off so I don't have water coming down the blower chute. And a small trim piece to cover the hole on my dash below key hole. Filled the gas tank, first time ever I spent more than $50 in a single fill up. (Malibu has tiny gas tank, and price never went above $3 when I still had Altima in '04-06)
Fresh new tank of gas and tweaking my tune a bit.
Got $10 in gas in a gas can for the Grand Prix today. Ran out of gas letting it idle in the driveway
Painted my front and rear facias on the GTP BLAAAACK today (after procrastinating doing it forever). Not gonna post pics, pretty much everyone knows what a red gp with black facias looks like, lolz.
cuz everyone doez eet!
No we dont
you know you do...
I'm thankful I've never locked myself out of my car... And that I have 2 keys and 2 fobs... Now I realize why lol
ok guys..
my car killed another MAF yesterday. i'm not sure why this keeps happening ever since i put that ported throttle body on?
the way i see it, it could be the tune, the fact that the (new) MAF i put in, was from a buick LaSabre in a JY, or that it's something else in the car thats eating them up like this??
i don't want to just throw money at the car hoping i'll fix it... because honestly i just dont have extra $$$ to do that.
do any of you have any clue why my car keeps popping mafs?
i'm really at a loss with this one.
realized it NEEDS moar low
