This is not true. Moog is **** and your paying for the warrantee . I sell auto parts and get more moog parts back for fitment issues and being defective than any other part in the store. I run mevotech in my car which is the cheapest brand we sell and just looking at the 2 parts moog vs mevotech the quality is obvious. Just like how alot of people run fram but they are probly the worst filter you can buy yet they are pretty highly priced compared to my store brand they are like twice as much and my store brand is wix made and much higher quality.
Timken is what i sell for bearing and bearly ever have defects

^^^^ Ive ran through just as many Moog products. I would say timken is good but I've replaced a few of the wheel bearings within a couple of months guess its all luck of the draw.

Since I washed it yesterday.... Today I decided to do some cleaning under the hood. Used some purple power and got everything all clean again and then topped off some areas with tire shine. Had Lee read the code again, cyl 4 misfire again..... Pulled the #4 plug and all looked fine, has power at the coil and everything. Flex joint is broken, so that needs replaced. Hoping that when the cat is replaced that it will fix everything else. Also replace the MAF sensor, car better be happy now.
While we had it in the garage today we did the foot brake and floor it test, no misfiring this time but you could tell when it was cutting out at a certain RPM.

Funny you say that. I have Moog ball joints in my Stealth. Absolutely zero issues. The ball joints went in in 07 and are still there now. Sure the car hasn't been driven much at all in the last two years but in the 4 years the Moogs were in there while I was driving it the car was already lowered on real coilovers and I didn't take it easy on the car. Most of the 3/s community use Moog ball joints. According to Mitsubishi there is no ball joint replacement. You have to buy the whole control arm. Someone figured out a Hyundai ball joint fits several years ago and everyone has went with the Moog's since then. Have not seen one person have an issue with them yet.

Go to the jyard and find another gp swap out injectors see if that fixes your issue

You have to realise i work in parts and sell hundreds of parts a day of various brands so just because you have had good luck with them does not meen they are the best. The cheap brand i sell called mevotech is def a higher quality part and i get less returns on them. Most of the ball joint issues im referring to are on trucks.
Not to mention moog is WAY overpriced. Example- Moog tie rod say $70 Mevotech would be around $25

I'm not saying they are the best. I'm just saying I've never had any issues with them, and an entire community of cars use Moog ball joints and have no issues.

Moog however does make some decent things like sway bar links, bushings, track bars, but for the price you can get same quality or better for cheaper.

I don't get returns on moog parts, hell I don't even get returns on any suspension components unless they just don't fit for over the counter purchases. The only time I've ever had someone bring one back was when the guy was trying to scam us out of another free part by trying to warranty his old ball joint.
Comebacks in the shop have mostly been economy "white box" parts. Some TRW comebacks too, but they're mostly an overseas production now. Moog is mostly USA, if it's not, then it's likely made by TRW, not Moog.
Funny story: TRW is the OE for some european vehicles, and that part lasts the longest on those specific vehicles.
Are the trucks you're having comebacks Dodge trucks and anything based on the LX platform? If so, it's not the parts, it's the car. They're a terrible design that chews through components like a european vehicle. Arguably the LX is basically a Mercedes, so it might as well be.
I really can't trust your judgement on quality either if you believe a house branded Wix filter is better than a Fram.
House branded filters, oil and pretty much any house branded product, take a quality hit in order to improve margins while still offering a lower cost than the name brand product.
AC Delco filters aka Champion Encore filters are known to be worse than orange can Fram. In fact, the gold can Fram is arguably the best filter on the market. It's a reasonable price, large dirt capacity, excellent filtration ability and so on. I called champion labs and asked why their filters were the best, or at least better than the fram gold cans. They simply laughed and said trust us, they are. Thanks guys, I really trust a salesman who simply says "trust me".
Fittment issues are just customers who don't know what the hell they drive, crappy parts catalogs, wrong parts in the box or crappy parts guys.
Most of the time it's the customers fault. Next is the parts guys. Sometimes they don't read. Next is wrong parts in box followed by catalog transcription from the part manufacturer to the parts store's catalog. Very rarely is the part manufacturers catalog incorrect, but it does still happen.
Also if you want a quality bearing, you buy SKF, nothing else.

I loaded them up on a brake lathe set it to the highest speed and wet sanded the lip with 80, 120, 180, 220, 400, 600 grit. After that i hit them with a polishing wheel and some metal polishing compound. Harbor freight has a kit with two wheels and compound. use the white compound and keep the wheel wet. Followed up with mothers.
Gota say they look great for being almost 7 years old.

No, the only parts store in the states that is also up here is Napa. They're even more expensive than everyone else.

Im not making this **** up... I have taken moog vs my house brand parts side by side. The casting is usually cheap and incorrect. The boots are also cheap and often blow out. I have taken calipers to these moog parts that customers bring in that have popped out and measured them vs my house brand and sure enough they are manufactured improperly. And no its has nothing to do with catalog because moog runs the same part numbers as my house brand.

I always thought that NAPA was over priced, I replaced the drivers side window regulator and they had it in stock cheaper than the other guys. I was surprised. Another time I needed a wheel bearing for a trailer that I didn't have in stock and it was 5 times the price I sell them for.

Are you sure you're getting real moog?
They're generally overkill. Shafts larger than the rest, sometimes even the factory parts, thick boots, always greasable with the correct fittings to ensure you're able to grease when it's installed. Bronze coloured caps and studs. "Moog" in the cap, "Moog" on the boot. Made in the USA only.
I mean my work sells "Nascar Advantage by Moog" aka, whatever they feel like putting in the box that day. Sometimes its TRW, sometimes it's Moog.
