oh, im sure it will come back on, just like your thinking as well. fairy dust only lasts so long.
Hoping for some of that fairy dust over the next few days when I take my GP back for its re-test. Just a few more trips to and from work and then I try again.

Sitting in the car currently waiting on a friend. Got charging system failure message. Odd.
Car was off in acc. When I turned it on got 14v no problem.
Off then watched the volts (thanks to 5 button DIC) started to tank below 11.0v. Then battery saver message.

Yup she needs a new battery. Just great.

Volts are there when the car is running. Before I replace battery ill check it out. I have no clue when the battery was changed so could be due.

Looking round here a few ppl have had this issue 2 outta 3 were new battery's and fixed

i hear ya, its winter and batterys die out this time of year all the time.

but when it says "charging system failure", thats the alt most of the time, it should always show up to 14.0 on the alt, even with a bad battery.

when volts drop, the alts not putting it out anymore.

if it says that when off it could be the battery, a good old load tester will tell the story.

threw a battery tester on my battery said it was shot, so pretty good idea it was the battery. Might as well throw a tester on it to double check though.

Let me know how it turns out. I haven't decided to do that, or have my buddy detail it. He says his favorite color to do is black.. and they are legit when he is done.

I had to replace my battery about two months ago. Having to use a booster pack 2 out of every 3 tries was getting old.

I mandate this post as **** that needs done to the car:

Cooling fan assembly - Have Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit code even after replacing fuse and relay.

Rear calipers - Leaking... having to top off the brake fluid every week. At least It is getting flushed good.

Might as well go with drilled/slotted rotors in the back while I'm there.

Drive the car till something else fails.

    And smile it's Blacktooth Grin!
