That's what I'm tryin to do. I think for the money Lexus is too boring.
The focus has a 2.0 motor.
Is it eating tires because you are putting crappy tires on it? I see them in all the time and most tires last 40-50k. The stock factory tires only last 25-30k because ford is cheap.
Cleaned and decreased the motor today, holy **** ball batman, underneath all this funk, there's actually a motor there!!!! Wondered what all this whining was from! Haha
Tips
i parked my gxp for the winter don't have great tires on it so the snow is real tough. winterized everything and put a car cover over it and i'll see it again in 3 months. and finally took the dealership sticker off too which was very easy and came out real nice.
I never seem to do anything but turn key, drive, fuel and oil changes. Although I did scoop out some trash the other day.
Meanwhile on other people's cars.. helped remove a reverse servo cover, dicked with that for a while and now it's trans pulling time.
nothing really missed 3 deer this morning. i had to get out the car because it sounded like one got the hood.
Did it try to run away with teh hood?
that would be funny lol
battery went dead.. so got another battery from the garage(brother bought a new battery found it it wasnt the battery that was his problem) and slapped it in.
drove it around for the day then this morning go to start it and doesnt start.... was about to go buy another battery when my dad come out and tightens the side posts and tries again and starts right up I felt pretty stupid but atleast i didnt go buy a new battery.
I'd keep an eye on that.
That's how my car was and then one day the starter just went kaput
slightest connection or debri can hinder the battery quickly.

Took it to the dealership this morning. They say I need a whole new Throttle Body Assembly because of a P0121 DTC. (Bad TPS) And it isn't covered under the powertrain warranty. Go figure. This will cost me $488, when I'm ready to fork over the money that is.
As I said, common replacement is one or the other. Sux that it's the expensive one. Since it isn't covered, I would just buy the part from them and replace it. I am willing to be wrong, but I don't think it takes anything special to replace the throttle bodies on the newer cars, don't think it has to be programmed or anything. Should have a gasket and everything in the box, just replace and go. Save $180.00 ish.
I left it in the garage because it snowed.
Didn't want to get high-centered on 1"~ of snow.
G5 got it done.
