you can just slot the struts rather than get camber bolts

i took the two bolts out and slotted the upper hole with a drill bit, how far you go really dont matter. when i was done the top of the tire moved a inch back and fourth.

I'm hoping to do it with the struts on, I think I can take the top bolt out loosen the bottom and hit it with the dremel or a drill bit, whatever I have handy. front and back obviously, right?

I'll mark it with a paint pen so it'll be where it's at now until Wednesday (alignment).

Google is showing mainly the bottom hole, but doesn't really have a direction, some either way. What did you do Scotty?

you may be able to pull the spindle out of the way with just the top bolt removed and bottom loosened up. i just pulled both bolts, made life easy.

i needed the top of the tire to go in, so i hogged out the inside of the strut hole so the knuckle could move in more.

You aren't lowered though, I am, so it'll probably need to go out. I might go both ways (lol) just to be safe.

Got it a shaft that will hopefully fix the clunk

It's nice having relatives that work for parts stores. Basically got it for RockAuto price ($30 cheaper than the store had it listed for) and didn't have to pay or wait for shipping.

Now I just hope I can get it in this weekend.

booba that sux about the rack and rocks about the valvesprings. My GP is stock height but needed outward 1/16" on top hole for one side with new struts. Rear did too but decided to live with that one. Adding a 16th to each end of each top hole should do it no matter. Good to know now that you're finished, right? Just yeah- tell them its slotted before the work begins.

Scotty, knuckles have provisions for an axle to pass thru and spindles do not. Maybe its backwards Monday or inside-out week, eh? Too much Buford, I say! just messin widja hoss.

I got to walk up to a clean black GTP (mine) twice before the rain came today. Thats all I did to it.

    Oh wait! Funny story-

At lunch, I pulled out of a residential area onto a 30 MPH narrow road. Then, a scooter was parked on it's stand in the center of my lane and it's human was messing with it. OK, stop. Wait for the oncoming cars... they stopped. But there was another scooter in front of that line of traffic, and this guy was toting an SUV rear door with his torso through the window hole! Ooooo Kkkkk...that guy does a U and parks next to the first guy. Right in the road.

First guy is a longhair. Head band and all. Scowling at me now, as if to say "I wish you did have a muthavuggin problem with me being here!". I avoid eye contact and am patient. Side street traffic is waiting to enter road, oncoming traffic is stopped and confused, hippie is upset. I eeeease on around finally, and get a tiny wet road wheel hop scratch after I pass him, getting back in my lane.

Well, my friend had been behind me and when we got to work, he asked if I looked back after I went around that guy. No, I says. Turns out that guy got so mad at me that he was actually chasing me on foot, flailing arms about and ranting in excited tones while finger gesturing wildly. Wow. Must be the same guy who did something similar to me in a Mustang on that road. That guy blew around me at a stop sign then got angry and did his best to wreck me over several miles. When that didn't happen, he started flyin two-handed birds and half his body aout the window. Benton county is a psycho derby. Must find a way to stop driving through it but dangit thats where my work and family both are. No way out, thats why I drive junk all the time, I reckon.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

    ^Hahaha

I got rained out and my alignment appointment is Wednesday at 10AM, so I dunno if I'll be able to by then. We'll just have to see. Eibach says lowering 1 inch will drop camber by 0.75*, stock camber on these is 0.4 to -1.4. So if I'm still within stock specs (last alignment I was, I don't remember the numbers, but I remember seeing everything in the green on the screen). If I'm at the worst stock spec it'd be -2.15*, and I've seen a few people say on here that running -2.5* is still okay on these cars. I dunno. I'll just have to see how the weather goes between now and Wednesday.

I washed it after work. Pretty sure she let out a loud sigh afterwards. Looks all pretty and so fresh n so clean, clean! I can tell the spring detail job will be fairly easy. There are some spots on lower panels that really need clayed, but other than that paint still looks really good and is beading very nicely.
