I opened trunk of my gp and left it open so I could access my tools as I tear a tranny out of a Durango just to get at a leaky core/freeze plug out!

Took it to a car show twas fun
i plan on driving mine this weekend.... maybe.
Finally removed the pin striping, washed, removed all the road tar.
Tried figuring out why the bed lights on my dads truck were dim and only getting 7 volts... Holy crap there were some gremlins I swear, they were dim and when turned on the brake lights came on too?? The 3rd brake light also didn't work, we smack it and it works as it should. Onto the bed lights, after an hour we say screw it and tie them into a different source. Now the brake light was temporarily working properly before, now it won't. With a test light hooked to the body no pins had power but somehow the bulb was lighting for tail lights. Come to find out the brake light was hooked to the wrong wire, yet it worked temporarily before? Wow talk about confusing. Every time we tested at a different spot it conflicted with what we got before. That's it, I can't do this anymore, I'm buying a power probe.
Those things are cool.
Mrlogic has me wondering if I can swap my auto-dim onstar 2002 GTP rearview into my 1999 GTP. I wouldn't need the onstar or temp readout but auto dim and compass would be cool.
I have a 08 GXP so I had onstar already. It was really all about wiring and adding a temp sensor...
Yes you can swap yours from the 02 to the 99. If both are 8 pin it'll be easier... I'll post up the link in a min
Cool, I'll watch for that. I like my flip mirror from the parts store but since I have an auto dark might as well use it. Have not scoped out the plugs, only have one car at home.
Did my happy retro sanity preservation ritual with the 69 car again tonite. Ah.
Took it to a car show, met some cool guys, got my ass handed to me by a big ass turbo RX7, and surprised the **** out of a mustang. It's been a good day.
Still needs final sealant.

Took it to a car show and heard a guy say look a gxp then his buddy said no you dumbass those have v8s I laughed
Yes the plastic channel was still intact from the original wiring. If you didn't know better, it looks stock.
