5 year old gas has always worked well for me. Oddly enough ... all my friends are the ones that have trouble leaving gas over the winter.....and they put in stabilizer. Efffff that stuff. I've never gummed a carb or injector and never used that stuff. Hmmmm
Interesting point Cam.. If it's dry storage, there shouldn't be an issue though.
This is what my dad just did. He ended up with a 97 Olds 88 that literally sat in a garage for at least 5 years w/o being touched. I dropped in a battery and we fired it up, less than 5 min later we drove it. Sure the LIM's needed to be done as well as VC gaskets. NP.. Got some fresh tires on it too.
Me.. I might put it on blocks, pull the battery (cause it'll be crap when you return.. no reason to leave possible corrosion anywhere in the area) toss a cover over it and close the door.
