I let my dad drive the Regal today. He absolutely loves it. While he was joyriding I was trying to figure out what's about to fall off the front end in the Northturd.
I started it for the first time in 3 days. Sounded like ****. Lots of condensation from the rain. Possible rear valve cover leak and it just smells like raw fuel. So I whooped on her on my way to work. Whooped on her on my way back with one launch. No tire squealage tho
I removed the abs harness from the front left wheel. the wire broke again 1/4 inch above where I soldered it. It's fatigued so I just cut it off and made a new harness out of some good wire we have at work. Will put it back in tomorrow.
Isn't it missing 4th and have all of the chipped pistons and burn oil like a mofo.

Since the GP has only been getting short trips the last few days I gave her some hell today to "blow the carbon out."
The work truck was another story. The day started off okay. I left the shop around 11. The route I took to get to my first stop was a yard sale clusterfvck. There were probably 50 yard sales and people were stopping dead in the road in front of me more times than I can count. Finally got through that and went on to my second stop hitting minor traffic here and there.
On my way to the third stop is where it really got interesting. I am on Route 7 in Ohio and going to follow it all the way to 470 where I would cross back over to WV and hit Route 2. I am on 7 for a few miles when out of no where they stop all traffic on the southbound lane. I sit there for about 10 minutes and ate my lunch while I waited and hoping they would let us through before too long. They didn't. I make my way to the exit that I was near to try to navigate around and my GPS ends up putting me on 7 north to backtrack to get to Route 2. Well, Route 2 sucks, that is why I took 7 in the first place.
Anyway, I finally get near my destination and this is where everything else went wrong. The address for this place isn't where it actually is. I was told ahead of time so that isn't a big deal. I had to make a turn onto this gravel road that ran parallel to railroad tracks. I follow the tracks back and see a gate to my left. I went in the gate, but wasn't sure if it was right. I call my boss and he says, "I don't think you go in there, keep following the tracks."
I did and the truck was as wide or wider than the "path" I was on. I was hitting brush and stuff on the passenger side while driver's side tires were catching railroad ties. I get back about 1/2 mile and hit a railroad split. I can't go any further. I was going to have to back out that 1/2 mile.
I call my boss AGAIN. I explain where I am and what I see and he tells me to call the sales rep, because he (my boss) had only been there once or twice. I told him I would call the rep when I got backed out.
Well, on my way back out I knocked the damn passenger mirror off and scuffed the hell out of the passenger side. SMH
I brought the key home so tomorrow or Sunday I am going to go grab it and see what I can do to lessen the effect of the scratches. Pisses me off.
To conclude, I called the sales rep, told him where I was trying to deliver and explained what was going on. He asked me if I made this turn and that turn, etc. I confirmed I did. I said I followed the railroad tracks and he said, "Where are there railroad tracks in Benwood?"
I'm like, "Seriously Dave? The road you turn on to get back to this area parallels the tracks. They are right next to you."
Finally got it figured out..... I should have went in the first fvcking gate that I was told not to go into. At least I know now.
For the TL;DR: I knocked the mirror off the truck and scuffed it up.
That's a pretty crappy route lol. I had to do deliveries/pick-ups for my last job and luckily only had a few issues with not being able to find the place, most of the time it was an industrial area and the address is pinpointed at the entrance, when the building may be a half mile further down an unnamed road. Another time was when there was no sign by the road, you had to know to go in a driveway for another business and it would be a ways down. Also my boss for that job's name was dave.
Today was a normal route to work and back, except on the way only driving a few minutes I kept hearing a noise when I was stopped at a light kind of like when you slightly let of the brakes and they make the noise as they start to slip, well it was making that type of sound when I wasn't moving, which was really odd. Just sounded from under the hood somewhere. Floored it after that, it never did it again. I saw a mustang and minivan in the middle of the road with police documenting an accident, both had minor damage to the bumper/hood/fender/headlight/grill. Lots of stuff in the corners. Saw someone do a u-turn on the way back, another clip for my videos.
Also got 3 new lug nut covers in the mail that I ordered since one of mine went missing. I'm sure there will be more hence why I got 2 extras.
Installed Dorman front sway bar kit. An end link was broken and the bar previously broke in half and got welded up. So it made a very noticeable difference
Eeking closer.
Will pull out once it warms up and the sun sets a bit to align/height adjust. Then some JBweld behind and around set screws.
Not bad just gotta fix that rotation a tad bit
Don't weld them yet.. Take then out for a drive and make sure your happy first.. The 25 ft mark is just a general guideline and sometimes it's best to do real world testing especially if your lowered you might want more height.
I would drive em but they will bounce, the screws are just tight enough to hold for hand adjustment.
I already thought about the height and lowness factor and will drop a bit from level. I just don't want the beam to travel up on the plane.
If they were totally in the plane I would be cool, but a fraction down would be practical.
26" inches seems to be my headlight dot height so when the beams are straight slightly below that at 25ft. I'll be pleased.
Gotcha
Had words with a fellow driver..... he followed me to my work, talked tuff and started bashing my car (he was driving some Toyota convertible). When I parked and got out of the car, he pulled away, made more comments. Then when I walk towards him, he pulls away a few more feet, makes more comments, then drives off. What a tough guy.
Then on the way home, a bus cuts me off in an intersection. Submitted the video to the transit authority so they can do nothing about it.
Did my first oil change ever on my moms LaCrosse was really fun. Also did a trans pan drop, let me tell you whoever did it before me was an idiot. The fluid was still reddish but dark, and it only took about 6 quarts out 6!!!! Either the low fluid caused 1st to slip and long shifts or it was from the flush I think they did prior to selling the car I just hope not much damage was caused. Oil change with valvoline 10w-30 conventional and acdelco filter. Trans fluid was Dex VI and Lucas stop slip. Also the girl at napa charged us twice for the filter so gonna fix that Monday.
Trans fluid
TL; DR
Russ did his first oil change, and changed the trans fluid on his moms car.

I found about a dollar in change in the crapiece and so I took it to the car wash and vacuumed it out as it's reward
